  1. well... you could get deported.

  2. When we all lived in California, my brother committed a crime when he was 14 that was bad enough he was forced to serve 7 years in a California prison, and then when his sentence was up he was exported back to Canada, where he is required to live the remainder of his life. He can no longer visit the USA, or live there. So I imagine when you commit a crime in the states, you serve your time, and then depending on the severity you are either released after your sentence is served or forced to go back to your country - whether it be Canada or somewhere else even! If you mean, whether or not Canada will swoop in and save the day, rushing their Canadian citizen back home, the answer is NO - why would they want to 'save' a criminal? You did the crime, you do the time.

  3. He'she gets to see the inside of an American jail.

  4. Assuming you mean "get caught committing a felony", you'll be arrested, have a trial to determine your guilt or innocence, and if found guilty, serve whatever punishment the judge and jury imposes.  That could be jail time, community service, parole or some combination of those depending on the crime.

Then the department of homeland security will track you down and "invite" you to leave the country.  It's not likely that you will be allowed back in the US again.

If you commit a felony in the US and escape to Canada (and the US police know it was you who committed the crime), they can ask the Canadian police to arrest you and extradite you to the US for trial and jail.  Then you'll be kicked out of the US again and returned to Canada.
