  1. Yup -

Raj: Hey j.j. , want 2 come 2 my house?

    J.J: Yup!

    Use it with ur friends.

But its better if u use 'YES' or 'NO'.

  2. Words like "Yup" and "Nope" are certainly not words in modern, or any other kind, of English.

They appear to be some misguided attempt on the part of the writer to write down the sound of positive and negative response words in slovenly American colloquial speech.

  3. "Yes" and "no" are considered proper, formal English.

    "Do you want the job?"

    "Yes." (impolite to say "Yup"!)

"Yup", "nope", "yeah" - and all of their variants - are considered non-standard  in usage and should only be used in casual situations.

    "Wanna go to Frank's house?"

"Yeah." ("Yes" might be taken as too formal)

Whenever in doubt, use "yes" and "no" instead of the others.

  4. Its an Informal/Casual way to say Yes or No...

Usually while having a formal conversation we do not use "YUP" or "NOPE".....it shows arrogance and indecency towards the person we are talking to. The best way is to use..Yes or No..for any type of conversations, but you can use Yup or Nope among your friends...
