does a "half" literally mean a half fare or is there ways to calculate the "half" fare from a single fare?

  2. Half fare means 50% of the adult fare.

  5. yes it doues but will be half any equivalent adult fare

    i.e a saver return will only be slightly more expensive than one way.

    note there are other children fares and some advance purchase tickets might not have half fares
