  1. Of the ones still playing:

Prasanna Jayawardene, Mark Boucher or Brendon McCullum.

  2. Prasanna Jayawardene is the best of the current lot. Standing up to two extremely different unorthodox spinners in Murali and Mendis should be difficult, but he has been outstanding. Batting is secondary to good wicketkeeping skills.

  3. adam gilchrist

  4. Ever:

Adam Gilchrist.  Over 400 dismissals and a batting average around 47, with 17 centuries and 26 fifthies, and over a 100 sixes in tests during his career.

    Source(s):

    My brain.

  5. If you mean of all-time, then Adam Gilchrist or Alec Stewart. If you mean currently, Mark Boucher or Brendon McCullum.

  6. Ever: Alan Knott, without doubt the best keeper ever to wear the gloves

That I have Seen: Ian Healy, i dont factor in batting records, just how good a keeper they were and Heals was the best i ever saw

Currently: Prasanna Jayawardane, in my mind he is the tidiest and most naturally gifted keeper in the worked right now

  7. Can't go past our own Adam Gilchrist.

  8. Adam Gilchrist and before him it was Ian Healy..

Still playing i will say Mark Boucher..

  9. Adam Gilchrist closely followed by Brendon McCullum and Jayawardene

  10. Refer to ADAM GILCHRIST of Australia and MARK BOUCHER of South Africa.

  11. Adam Gilchrist.

    Current player - Brendan McCullum.

They have to be able to make an impact with the bat these days.

  12. Well I think mark boucher of south africa because he hardly ever drops a catch that's why he has the all time record for most test dismissials he also has the record for most dismissals in an odi innings which he achieved versus pakistan and he's also very cocsistant with the bat always scoring between 30 to 40 runs and on the odd occasion getting over 50

  13. Wicketkeeper - Prasanna Jayawardene

Wiketkeeper/batsman - Best ever was Adam Gilchrist. Currently its Kumar Sangakarra!

  14. Ever: Alan Knott, Ian Healy, Jeff Dujon etc

    Currently: P. Jayawardene, M. Boucher

  15. Dinesh Ramdin of the West Indies is an excellent 'keeper. It is difficult keeping wicket in the Caribbean, and he manages this with aplomb.

Prasanna Jayawardene of Sri Lanka is also outstanding.

Tim Ambrose of England is not one of the world's best.
