  1. Oh dear God, please let it be Maria Shriek-apova!

  2. The way she's been playing, I would have to agree with you about Amelie Mauresmo.  Venus is probably near the end of her career as well, and I hope she takes Serena with her.

  3. lol Jimmy Conners ? Thats not even funny :P I`ll go with Pete Sampras :) xxxxxx

  4. I agree with you.  I also think Schnyder is not too far behind and I wonder how long Davenport will be able to sustain her inspiration to play on the pro tour.

On the men's side I would put Safin and Grosjean as the top candidates.  Clement is another possibility.  All three of them are on a major downslide so it'll be hard for them to keep finding motivation to keep going.

  5. Terminator, what's you problem. You surely have some mental issues!!! Stop being a racist and a hater!!!

  6. Amelie Maruesmo already looks like she's got one foot in the door of retirement.

On the men's side, maybe Marat Safin (he had to qualify for Hamburg). He hasn't been as good as he was since he fell out of the top seed and it's a shame. I was also thinking maybe Carlos Moya, but he has a few more years left in his legs, I think.

  7. James Blake...please. He is completely useless out there. He lost to Tipsarevic today like WTF. Time to take up golf James.

Oh and Vamos Chela kick Serb butt.

  8. Terminator, WTF do u have against Serbs??? They are great athletes, but I guess u are a loser, who can only wish, u would be as good lookin' as those guyszz. GRRRR!!!

  9. Amelie Mauresmo will definitely be one of the next players to retire...but i think Davenport will officially retire as well.  Patty Schnyder, Sybille Bammer, Jill Craybas, and I even feel that Venus Williams and possibly lil' sis could be retiring soon.

It's hard to say about the men though...I think Moya will be gone soon, Chela, possibly Nalbanian.  Gasquet should go ahead and retire because he has no game left.  But there are a good batch of young players in the top of the men's game so not too many retiring men any time soon.

  10. jimmy conners!

  11. davenport then mauresmo then maybe petrova

  12. capriati. i think she will officially announce her retirement soon.

mauresmo-only if she is unable to find something by the end of the year. but here again, she's got a new injury with the rib.

petrova-like mauresmo, she too is having a hard time finding her form and her confidence. she's lost all her matches this season first or second round.

virginia ruano pascual-not a star player like aforementioned but she is a veteran and in her 30's.

**yes, schnyder too. i think this might actually be the season she does so. her success rate has waned considerably the last year.
