  1. I like Pete Carroll, he won with class and dignity. Pete do not run up the score on his opponent unlike a lot of other coach, like Stoop of OU, man he got no class. I like Ron Zook also because he was a great coach who was never given the fair opportunity to finish his job at Florida and went Meyer took over, he won the title with Zook player, shame on Florida administration for firing Zook. I also like an underdog coach like Ty Willinghams, i just want to see these kind of coach have success under a duress condition

    at Washington.

fyi you put 2 number 2's.

  8. 1. Jim Tressel - One of the classiest and well-spoken guys out there.  A consistent record of excellence that has always encouraged education along with football for his players.  Humble and always in control, you never see him whining about a loss or gloating over a win.  He always respects his opponents and the game of football.  You have gotta respect the sweater vest.

    2. Joe Paterno - Asside from having been around for ever, the guy is entertaining as heck with his silly glasses and running off the field for diareaha every 3rd quarter.

    3. Pete Caroll - Not only has he created a dynasty at USC, but I love his work ethic; he actually works out with the players.  For having such lofty records, he is still so down-to-earth.  He's the embodiment of Southern California Football.

  9. Mine are:

    Tom Osborne

    Joe Paterno

    Barry Switzer

Those guys are just legends, what can I say?  Especially Joe Paterno who coached the Penn State team longer than any coach has coached a Division One College team in history as far as I know.  He did it with class and character too.

Tom Osborne for making the Nebraska Cornhuskers a powerhouse that beat almost everyone they played the whole time he coached them.  He also did it with high integrity and expected it of his players.  He'd even bench star players when they got in trouble or had bad grades.  Not many coaches will do that in a high profile school like Nebraska.

Barry Switzer was a bit more of a troublemaker than Joe or Tom, but his teams did fantastic when he coached them.

  10. 1. Mack Brown

Best of Luck to everyone this Season

    War Eagle!!!!

  12. 1. Steve Spurrier

    2. Urban Meyer

    3. Bob Stoops

  13. 1. Joe Paterno-Reached longevity not seen since Amos Alonzo Stagg

    2. Pete Carroll-Made a modern day dynasty when it was thought impossible

    3. John Gaglardi- Won over 415 games in his career
