Mine is Katherine although I admit that "Nan Bullen" is the most fascinating.

  1. I think that Anne Boleyn would be one of my faves.   She was ambitious and smart trying to do anything to keep her place as Queen.

  2. Anne of Cleves - a very clever German princess.  She wasn't all that happy to be married to King Henry.  They never consummated their marriage which led to an annulment.  Anne did OK for herself as a result and lived out her days in England in superior comfort.  Nice thing here is that she didn't find herself at the chopping block.

  3. Jane Seymore.I thought yours was Anne Bullin?

    my spelling is crazy 2

  4. There were three Catherine's (all spelt differently) the spelling you mention is Katherine Parr.  I suggest you read 'six wives' by David Starkey, it's a fascinating read detailing the lives of all six wives, it is a little heavy at times and long but a good read and well worth it. I think my fave would have to be Anne Boleyn simply because her story is the most exciting, interesting and tragic (although the same could be said for her cousin Kathryn Howard). I love the story of Catherine of Aragon too, she seemed such a strong woman and had such fascinating parents. That's such a hard question, they were all so interesting in their own right.

I also love to read the novels of Phillipa Gregory and Alison Weir and recommend you give them a go, although not completely historically accurate they are based on fact as much as possible and give an amazing insight into the tudor court and the different queens in the form of an enthralling novel. The other boleyn girl is my favourite and innocent traitor by Alison Weir is excellent.

  5. Anne Boleyn without a doubt. She was a woman ahead of her time, and the mother of the greatest monarch we have ever had.

  6. I don't know, that's a tough question.

I feel the most sorry for Catherine of Aragon.  I think Anne Boleyn is the most interesting.  Jane Seymour is probably the one I would most like to know in real life.  I think Anne of Cleves was probably the smartest.  She knew a good deal to get out when she saw one.  Catherine Howard was just a stupid teenager, punishment did not fit the crime.  I don't really have much of an opinion about Katherine Parr.
