  1. ballet, in almost all dancing, if ur good at ballet, u sohuld be good at that particular dance. but, then again, a good gymnast can make a good ballet dancer, while a good ballet dancer doesnt nescessarily make a good gymnast

  2. well it all depends on what you like the best.

for a dancer obivously they dance. lol. but you can take different types of dancing classes like jazz, hip hop. things like that.

gymnastics is about stretching, you get to do stuff on the beams. and on the bars. i personally loveeee gymnastics. i was in it for many many years.

ballet dancing is just like ballet but with a little more dance into it.

i personally like all of them.

  3. Well, my opinion is that a dancer is so much better. You could get more into dancing careers than in dancing or even ballet. Dancing helps you stay in shape as the other ones but this dancing helps out your muscles more and everything. You stay fit and you have more fun. And you wouldn't get as hurt as you would if you had gymnast. :]

  4. Are you asking as a watcher or a dancer? Ballet can be quite painful and hard on your body...so can gymnastics. However, gymnastics promotes over all well-being where ballet definitely hurts your feet.

If your watching, it depends if you like flips and muscle or grace soft tones. simple.

  5. Ballet, gracefull.

  6. Gymnastics:

Balance beams: It requires similar skills of ballet, except you must walk in a straight line and does not require pointed toes. You must also, jump off and land perfectly. Ballet requires no special moves in which your hands are on the ground, and the feet, similar to ballet, are pointed in the air.

    Uneven bars:

    1. Mounts the apparatus. Depending on the skills of the gymnast and level of competition, the mount may be as simple as a pullover or as complicated as a flip onto the bar.

       2. Performs the actual routine, which will include swings, circles and, at the higher levels of competition, giant swings, handstands and release elements (skills in which the gymnast lets go of the bar and regrasps it). The gymnast will also be expected to demonstrate at least one bar change, i.e. moving from the low bar to the high bar or vice versa.

       3. Dismounts the apparatus and lands on the mat.

    Floor:

The gymnastics performer does perform a dance, but does not point toes, and performs moves that, as mentioned before, requires flips, mid air moves, and the use of hands and pointed toes in the air.

    Vault:

In the vaulting events gymnasts: sprint down a 25 meter (about 82 feet) runway, jump onto a beatboard - a kind of springboard, (run/ take-off segment), land momentarily, generally inverted on the hands, on the vaulting horse or vaulting table, (pre flight segment), then spring or block off of this platform to a two footed landing (post flight segment). The post flight segment may include one or more multiple saltos or somersaults, and or twisting movements.

Ballet is a formalized form of dance with its origins in the Italian Renaissance court, further developed in France and Russia as a concert dance form. It is a highly technical form of dance with its own vocabulary. It has been influential as a form of dance globally and is taught in ballet schools around the world. Ballet dance works (ballets) are choreographed, and also include mime, acting, and are set to music (usually orchestral but occasionally vocal). It is best known in the form of classical ballet, notable for its techniques, such as pointe work, turn-out of the legs; its graceful, flowing, precise movements; and its ethereal qualities. Later developments include neoclassical ballet and contemporary ballet. Ballet, is based on balance, grace, flexibility, and pointed toes.

  7. It matters not if the person is a gymnist, a ballerina, or any average person not involved in a sport. Some people have the talent, some people don't. I take ballet, pointe, jazz and hip hop and I'm pretty good; I have friends who take the same classes and aren't so great. Now, often having a background in ballet helps when it comes to dancing and gymnastics, in part because it trains your mind and body, gives you flexability, and sometimes even coordination.
