Lebron was the only good player on his team when he lost in the finals.  Also he took the Celtics to 7 games

I don't really think Kobe choked that bad.  I think people just bought into all the media hype, and analyst predictions that the Lakers would roll through the Celtics.  I personally think the Lakers were lucky to make it as far as they did.  They barely secured the home court advantage, had an easy series v the Nuggets.  Then they got hot at the right time, and were able to avoid the Hornets and had some calls go their way.  When they got to the finals they ran into a superior team and their luck finally ran out.  I guess you could say Kobe choked somewhat hard.  The whole team did for sure in game 4.  But it's not really choking when you are supposed to lose (in my opinion).

Stats may point towards Kobe Bryant, but I say LeBron James because Kobe Bryant didn't choke in the Finals as much as didn't have a supporting team. Gasol, Odom, Walton, and others didn't produce the numbers that they all had when they were winning.
