  1. I've never been but I'd love to go. Irish are friendly people.

  2. I just got back from there this week.  The people are extremely friendly.  I thought it was beautiful.  I preferred the west coast though because I'm not fond of big cities.  The driving is bit interesting.  The roads are really small and sometimes two vehicles can't pass each other and one has to pull over!  Quite different from the US.

  3. I've been to Ireland, and it is amazing! You can expect for it to be absolutely beautiful, but also expect some rain. Don't be afraid to travel off the beaten path. It is a great country. My boyfriend is from Belfast, so he's full Irish. I have only visited the South as of now. Make sure that when you go, you don't tell anyone from N. Ireland that they are British!!! If you get to go - have fun- enjoy the cliffs, and drink a pint of Guinness!

  4. I was in Ireland a few weeks ago.  Stayed in Cork in the south part of Ireland for a week.  The locals are amazingly friendly, although be prepared to ask people to repeat themselves.  They speak English but the Irish accent can be difficult to follow at times.

Also, before you go, check out the weather forecast at http://www.weather.com  and make sure you dress accordingly.  It can get cold, windy and rainy there.

  5. Great people. So friendly and genuine. The country is absolutely gorgeous, but a bit rainy. If you can be sure to visit the Aran Islands, they are absolutely facinating. They have forts and ruins there from thousands of years ago. Also try the Wicklow mountains south of Dublin. They have some of the best scenery I have ever seen.
