Who's better for internet and TV in Halifax, Eastlink or Aliant?"?

I just moved to Halifax and I need to set up TV and internet. I have no experience with either Eastlink or Aliant. They seem about equal price-wise. What kinds of experience with customer service for both have people had? Both are available in my area.

  1. I am wondering the same thing!  Have you found out anything useful?  Aliant seems to have a deal - 3 months at $99 for TV, internet, and land line.. but then after 3 months the price goes up to whatever, so I'm not sure that it's worth it.

My bf had his land-line and internet through Aliant for the past two years and on at least two occasions this year, phone and internet just randomly stopped working.  He had to call them and they had to send people to the building to get it reconnected.  It was quite a hassle since it took them several days to get there - and during that time we couldn't buzz ppl up to the apt or use the phone or internet!  Very annoying!  So that is one strike against Aliant in my books.  Anyway, I posted a similar question in this same area and hopefully we'll get some good help...
