Who's gonna win the Cy Young in each league?

Right now the AL has to be K-Rod, right? I think if he gets to 60 saves there is no way you cannot give it to him.

In the NL I'm going to go with Danny Haren. He's in the prime of his career. He did much the same last year, although, admittedly, he did fade down the stretch. He's having a better season than Webb. The only stat Webb leads in really is wins. Haren is ahead in everything else.

I would have t o agree with K Rod winning it. If Gagne won it as a closer, K-Rod definitely deserves it. But for the NL, watch out for Lincecum. Hes having a solid season.

with tim lincecum fo the giants and justin deuscherer of the a's.

itd be sweet cause no one really expected anything from them.

deuscherer proves you dont have to throw hard to be successful. and lincecum shows that guys who look like they are 13 years old can deal.

AL- Frankie Rodriguez IF and ONLY IF he gets 55+ saves, otherwise it's gotta go to Cliff Lee.

NL- It's still up for grabs. Sheets, Zambrano, Lincecum, Webb, even Sabathia and maybe even Harden, all have somewhat of a shot at it. This will be decided in the next couple months.

dont get me wrong but k-rod is a great pitcher but what other closer has 43 opportunities... with the way MO is closing out games he would only have blown 1 or 2 if he had 43 opportunities  he also has a 2.25 era as a closer, duchscherer has a 1.87 as a starting pitcher... i think the AL goes to cliff lee or MO depending if  he doesnt blow any more saves and NL goes to linecum

AL : Roy Halladay, 11-7 record means nothing. 2.89 era, 127 strikeouts to 24 walks (1.03 whip). but what impresses me the most is 152.1 innings pitched with 7 complete games! Next closest for those stats are 136.2 and 3 respectively. And K-Rod isn't even the best closer in terms of efficiency right now (Rivera) . If K-Rod really does get 60+ saves, give him the Rolaids Relief Man of the Year. the cy young should go to a starter.

NL: I agree with you on Dan Haren, his .95 whip and .209 opp ba is closer-like. 2.58 era and 132.2 ip also rank among the top in the nl. the only thing stopping him is wins (9). If he gets atleast 17 wins and continues pitching like this than i say give it to him! if not b.webb might get another one.

Id have to say,

NL-Tim Lincecum for the Giants, i mean he is so underrated he's a stud and he can show what u can do if u mix up pitches.

AL-Cliff Lee for the Indians, hes been unhittable the whole season, he came out of nowhere to win what 12 games and he has a great ERA.

NL-Dan Haren has been an absolute stud all year. He has made the transition of pitching in the AL and going to the weaker NL look so easy. His WHIP is out of this world and his ERA and K numbers are also very good. His consistency and all of his quality starts will cancel out his pathetic offensive run support.

AL: K-Rod would be fascinating. It'd be really cool if he could get it, but only if he breaks the saves record. Duchscherer has had a h**l of a year though.

NL: Hard choice. Sheets, Volquez, Lincecum stand the best shot thus far in my opinion. Any of them would be deserving.
