Question:

Who's got good boot socks?

I LIVE in my cowboy boots - I've got like 25 paids of 'em all sorts.

I've had a tough time finding socks that I like.

I can't stand socks that fall down below the boot tops.

I have had back surgery so have found that socks with thick or cushy feet help keep my feet from tiring and my back not hurt.

Ovation makes some good socks, but they are crew-cut, they don't go all the way to the calf, so these work with my Ariat Fat-baby boots but not well with a full 11 or 12" tall shafted boot.

I have tried the Dan Post socks - and they're like tube socks with spandex in 'em - they wear out after I wear 'em for about 6 times.

I have also tried the Justin boot socks and I like them at first, but they also wear out pretty fast - the flocking wears off the heels and they are then like wearing nylons and they begin to fall down too.

Any other suggestions and where to buy?

  2. haha, well i just go to Target and get cute knee high ones.

they work really great for me... and they're only like 3 or 4 dollars.

they work with both western boots and field boots for huntseat.

  3. well i dont know about cowboy boots but i wore hiking boots and knee rubber boots every day for my job and the best socks in the world are:

    THORLO hiking socks!!!!!

no blisters, no bunching and I wore them year round.

maybe they make something for what you need but trust me they are really good socks I could not wear anything else walking around in boots all day.
