Both highly over-rated playground dunkers. Neither will ever win anything, and neither will ever care about winning anything.

Vince always lands in towns where they'll pay him the most money, T-Mac on the other hand plays the best b-ball of his entire life every season,

But since Carter can actually progress through the playoffs, It's gotta be Carter.

By far Tmac is better. Vince is the best dunker of all time no doubt about that. He cannot carry a team like Tmac though. Vince is over-rated.

plus tmac is a good but underrated dunker though( you dont talk about him when ure talking abt dunking ).

examples: 360 double pump two handed dunk in slam contest,

self alley oop off the board dunk,

dunk on shawn bradley riding his back.

Those were INSANE.

I will have to pick T-Mac. Why? Barring injuries, T-Mac is one of the most consistent and clutch players in the game. When you need a 3, T-Mac is there to hit it. Yah, if you look at the stats, they are about the same player, but think about this. Vince Carter played in one of the best college basketball systems at North Carolina while T-Mac came straight out of high school. Carter was definitely more polished than McGrady, but he worked hard enough to reach super star status. Also, I never really saw a good mid range game from Carter, to me it seems like either he takes a long jump shot, or he breaks his defender down and attacks the basket, as for T-Mac, he could stop and pop, sink the 3, and break your ankles. And that is why I think that Tracy McGrady has had a better career than Vince Carter.

Vince because Tracy never really achieved that superstar status it seems. Like a few years ago it appeared as though Vince was an elite player, while Tracy has always just been very good.

I like both but T-Mac no question. He led the league in scoring twice. Was the youngest to average 32 ppg i believe. HIs luck in the playoffs isn't that good however because a lot of the teams he went up against eventually went on to either the conference finals or finals. And he never really got the help he needed. T-Mac's stats in the playoffs are spectacular. Vince disappears in the playoffs.

T-Mac is definitely more clutch. Remember 13 points in 35 seconds against the Spurs. Vince takes a lot of questionable shots. T-Mace is the better passer and team player. Remember 22 game winning streak? Don't think Carter even got past 8.

Neither ever did much championships wise, or even playoffs wise. T-Mac has been the better overall player through the years, mainly because he could shoot better than Carter. But in twenty or thirty years, old guys will be a lot more likely to talk about VC and his insane dunks than T-Mac.
