Who's looking forward to Biden destroying Palin in the debates?

Joe Biden can talk about national security for hours, but Palin will be confused and unable to differentiate Sunnis from Shiites in the first minute. He'll be able to talk about his record of visiting Georgia and presiding over international committees, while she'll comment about the taste of mooseburgers. He'll also talk about his solid record of fighting against violence directed at women and small communities, while she'll detail her flat record of winning state beauty contests and her pending investigation for letting family affairs mix with politics. He'll be tough and accurate, while she'll stumble and show how far her executive "experience" takes her.

Anyone, Democrat or Republican, who thinks that Governor Palin was chosen "simply" because she's a woman deserves to have their butts handed to them, as Senator Biden will in the VP debate.

Gov. Palin has a history of attacking establishment figures head-on, and defeating them. The best place outside of D.C. in which to do this is Alaska, where politics have become more calcified than almost anywhere else in the country. Her political resume includes sweeping out both a mayor and a governor in serious reform bids each time. If John McCain's only message this year was "reform in Washington", then Palin would be the perfect running mate.

As far as shoring up his evangelical base, as many have noted that McCain needs to do, Palin is also an excellent choice. She's a credible pro-life and pro-family feminist, who was given the choice to terminate her last pregnancy when it was discovered that her son would be born with Down Syndrome. Although 9/10's of women elect to have an abortion in those cases, Palin kept her child, which has been an inspiration to women and families across the country.

As far as her symbolic appeal goes, she represents far more than just women in the GOP. She, as well as Governor Jindal of Louisiana and even Governor Pawlenty of Minnesota, represents a new breed of Republican in this country. They are the next generation, free of any taint from Washington and especially President Bush. They remind us that "the future" doesn't just belong to the Democrats, but to all Americans.

I am! I'm stoked about him debating her. I just hope he maintains his temper and not say anything sexist, though I doubt he will. Let's just hope American's are wise enough this time around to vote for the party that makes better since before AND after the debates.

Here's how Biden might approach the debate, just a shot in the dark.

Biden: So what does your husband do for a living Mrs. Biden?

Palin: He works for British Petroleum and I support his drilling for oil here in alaska.

Biden: Do you think creationism should be taught in our public schools?

Palin: Yes evolution is only a theory

Biden: So is it true you posed in vogue?

Palin: h**l yeah, I am hot!

Biden: I know, so do you have any foreign policy experience?

Palin: No, but my husband is 1/8 indian.

Biden: Ok...So I hear your a longtime member of the NRA.

Palin: Yes, I like to hunt Deer and Elk and especially Moose, for sport, but it is important to control the Bear population as well.

Biden: Did you vote against putting Polar Bears on the endangered species list?

Palin: of course.

Biden: so what experience do you have?

Palin: you mean aside from Vogue? well I was the mayor of a large town of 9,000 and I've been the governer here in Alaska for about two years now.

Biden: I think it's wonderful that you have five children, do you think women should be aloud to make the choice about abortion for themselves?

Palin: I think I know what is best for other women, that is why I'm pro-Life, and totally pro mascara.  We need to look good ladies, that's how you get up in life.

Biden: That's all, *Obama slaps him a behind the back low five*

she has the upper hand over biden in that she and her husband had successful businesses outside of government.   biden hasn't that experience.   biden can only attest to the fact they he spends others money frivolously were as palin can show how successfully she can spend her own.   she can claim that biden is not head of the state department and that his trip to georgia is out side of his job as a senator.    i think that she will be able to hold her own as to who wins will be determined by the media and that should give you a clue as to can win.      mr  doodles

edit: If Palin were smart then she would be talking to Dennis Kucinich and Ron Paul who know the Constitution. They could tell her what the V.P. does. Cheney is the exception and should have been impeached.

Alaska is the first line of defense in our missile interceptor defense system. The 49th Missile Defense Battalion of the Alaska National Guard is the unit that protects the entire nation from ballistic missile attacks. It’s on permanent active duty, unlike other Guard units.

As governor of Alaska, Palin is briefed on highly classified military issues, homeland security, and counterterrorism. Her exposure to classified material may rival even Biden's.

She's also the commander in chief of the Alaska State Defense Force (ASDF), a federally recognized militia incorporated into Homeland Security's counterterrorism plans.

Palin is privy to military and intelligence secrets that are vital to the entire country's defense. Given Alaska's proximity to Russia, she may have security clearances we don't even know about.

This is going to be WIN-WIN for McCain-Palin. I'll tell you why:

Joe Biden is known for being very long-winded, hot-headed, and not knowing when to shut up. He can also come off looking very asinine. BIG time. So, either one of two things will happen. She'll lay him out to dry, which in that case, it's a win for McCain/Palin.  Or, the other outcome is that he creams her.

So, either she wins outright.

OR

He tears her a new one. Which in that case, Biden runs a huge risk of looking mean, argumentative, harsh, and asinine. This is a whole different dynamic with him going against a woman. I say let Biden tear into her. With her grace and skill it will make him look like a total a-s-s, which he is, and as usual, democrats will shoot themselves in the foot.

So, bring it on, dems.
