They both put me to sleep when they fight, along with Karo Parisyan but which one is the worst, I don't care if they win or not, they're boring dammit!!

  1. lyoto but they have some exciting fights too

but who cares they get it done

  2. Well I agree that Tim Sylvia is boring, but how can you say that Karo is boring? I guess it's because I've done both Judo and karate and can see the tremendous skill that both Parisyan and Machida possess.

They are definitely the thinking man's mixed martial artists. Not at all boring for me.

PS Come on, Machida almost finished Tito. If he had, everyone would be going on about how badass he is.

  3. Tim Sylvia......i love Lyoto Machida

  4. Lyoto....but I love Lyoto Machida.

People think he's boring, but, I think he actually has a great gameplan.  He doesn't get hurt, but he does the hurting.  That being said, people get tired of chess matches, and want to see all out brawls.

I'd rather fight like Lyoto if I had to fight at all.

I have respect for Tim, after years of hating on him, you can't knock the guys effort.  He does what he has to do.

  5. this is a question from a band wagon guy obviously you dont respect the technique and the strategy although Sylva is the exception for me do to his long arms and height advantage all the guy has to do is extend the arm and you get punch but i still see technique in him shoulders up head tucked in steppin in and out half steppin with noguera(cant spell his name)...and with machida its just the art of karate quick and swift timing accuracy precision beautiful to wacth... parysian same his Judo throws sweeps armholds to submission its just bring a tear to my eye when i see technique like that and it reminds me why MMA is  sport and not senseless swinging and throwing which is what band wagon ppl want to see dont get me wrong sometimes i want to see that but i want to see it in a technical aspect wherein that ko punch is timed like GSP kick fake low then head or his fake kick into a superman pucnh ahhh that is beautiful stuff rite there

  6. There is a difference between being boring and being a counter puncher.

Machida is far from boring.  He is the first guy I've seen outside of a Tae Kwon Do match to double round kick (twice) and land it both times (right foot round to thigh, left foot round to head in one motion).

He was far from boring against Ortiz if you can appreciate technical fighting.

Sylvia on the other hand is boring, because he's just big a tough and slow.  He's non athletic, just big and strong.
