Who's more capable of running the Republican party, Sarah Palin or William Buckley?

My bets on Buckley than the inexperienced Palin.

  1. William F. Buckley is dead.  Dead people only vote Democrat as we all know.

  3. Buckley's dead, but I'm sure he'd be amused to try.  I'm not sure he'd want the nonstop headaches, however.

    And to a poster above, I can't imagine Buckley voting Democrat dead OR alive.  Maybe libertarian.

    Comparing Palin to a great conservative is pre-mature.

  8. Excuse me Ms. Hilton, but William F. Buckley passed away a while back. Maybe you was in jail then or in rehab? or creating reasons why you should have been in one or the other?

  9. Well, it is a toss up between you and Palin, as Buckley just isn't up to it.  Actually, Palin would be my pick too.  The following is an exerpt from an email that was sent to me, arriving right after the announcement.

    "GREAT PICK for McCain,  As a 10 yr resident of Alaska , I can't think of a  better selection for VP. I did not hear  her name untill she was overwhelmingly elected GOV. I have a lliberal daughter, who is an attorney in Anchorage. She says that this recent mommy  has guts to say no to power brokers  in AK such as Hickel,Sheffield, Tony Knowles , to mention some names of shakers and  movers .I  suggest you listen to her and see for yourselves."

    Palin is a tough act to follow, as she is the most popular governor in the US, enjoying an 80 percent approval rating.  Now, compare that to the rating of 9 percent for our Democrat Congress.
