Who's performance surprised you most today?

bestanswer: I doubted his skill at a road course this year but he proved me wrong, congrats.

Marcus Ambrose - best unexpected performance all day.

Elliot Sadler - spinning out Ambrose - drove into the corner way too fast.  Like Stewart said - it's Ambrose' fault for being within a half of a lap of Sadler.

Kevin Harvick - what the h**l was that - not sure what he was trying to do going into turn 7 that fast, but taking out the second and third place cars is just idiotic.  That's my biggest surprise - I expect better from him.

I was surprised with Kyle after he had been bad in practice, and qualified poorly. Man that's a great win! I shouldn't have doubted his ability to win from that far back, even at Infineon. He knew people would be doubting him and just proved that he turns that into his motivation.

I was also extremely impressed with Sadler. I felt so bad that his tire went down under caution, but he did good to hold his own until the final lap.

And of course David Gilliland was impressive.

I think this is the toughest track on the schedule, and if someone can finish good here it shows what kind of talent they have

I am a Yates fan, and It felt great to see the 38 up front running for the win... I loved it, it was impressive, David was very happy with it, and so were his fans... =)

Marcus Ambrose's performance. I had made a bet that if he won I would change my avatar. I started sweating when he was in 2nd place. What a relief when he spun out.

Without a doubt, Gilliland.  I was also pretty surprised (in a good way) about Kenseth's top-10 finish.

David Gilliland and Casey Mears by FAR.  How many times does Mears end up in the top 5??? None.  lol

Also, I am surprised that Jr. did so well on a track that he dislikes.  I almost fear next week at Loudon.   I will be there to see it!!!!

I think the most obvious one is David Gilliand.  I don't think anybody in the world thought he would finish in the top 5

Honestly Marcus Ambrose, his first Sprint Cup this year.

Though he was out of the race by the end, I think he did a really good job when he was racing.  I was impressed.

However, what really impressed me was the interview with him after he was out of the race.  He was just so happy to be racing, thankful for the opportunity, thankful to owner (Wood bros.) pit crew, etc., even though he was out of the race.  What a great attitude.

Also David Gilliland pulling second, wow that was impressive.

Guillilands. to have a year knowing not whether he was goin to leave the team or not at the end. and to be wrestling for the top 35. and the best team finish since Dale Jarret raced for them. he deserved it.

Totally David Gilliland #38, I had no idea he would pull off that great finish...and also the road course ringers not having that a great of a day, like Boris, Pruett, Ambrose, hated to see Fellows end up in that mess he got involved in..

I'm not sure what Jr's best is on a road course but he ended up 12th and I think that's good for him on a road course cause he says himself that he doesn't do very well on them so I was proud of his finish! (go ahead with the thumbs down now)
