Question:

Who's "not on point" -- the RNC, or the media?

Here's the Yahoo news subheadline that I just saw on my computer screen:

"President Bush and John McCain's friend Sen. Joe Lieberman try to get the RNC back on point."

What a joke -- it's not the RNC who's "off point"!

The media is!

The media -- not the RNC -- are the ones that keep obsessing about the Palin family situation. How can the Republicans put it past them, when it's the media that keeps bringing it up in the first place?

This shows me that the media are blatantly biased toward Obama -- they're not even attempting a pretense of objectivity anymore.

Your thoughts?

  1. RNC

  2. You can't stop them. The media has a new woman to beat on and they're loving it.

  3. Watching the RNC on NBC . During Fred Thompsons speech Brian Williams,Tom Brokaw talked through his speech about how unprepared Palin is to lead .That is unbiased coverage of the RNC.

  4. It's both.  Palin has a lot of trash in her life and the Media isn't going to push it under the carpet.

  5. it has been that way for over a year now. I dont think anyone has caught the disapperence of suzanne malveaux of cnn after she interviewed the Hillary supporter who said she would stay at home rather than vote for obama at the dem convention. The news use to be who, what, when, and where. Now its opinion journalism, and whatever they say is true wether it is or not. The news media knows our attention span is 5 minutes and if they pound us enough in that 5 minutes we will believe its true.

  6. I think the media AND the RNC are to blame.  Please let me briefly explain.

First the RNC is to blame for "setting the stage" by talking about flag pins, questioning Michelle"s patriotism, etc.

The media on the other hand feels they are not going to allow the Repubs to conduct themselves the same way they swift-boated Kerry.

They're just not going to let the Repubs steal the election that way again. So they are, in a sense, fighting back.  Fire against fire.  Now the Repubs don't like it but they only have themselves to blame.

However, because of all this, we have a divided America.  But you have to admit. Obama has handled all of this with dignity and with a refusal to get sucked into the game.

  7. Haha...jenny. Um, you proved Yahoo News' Point! Your convention is going on right now, yet you are still here posting questions about Palin....we aren't, you are. We are trying to pry our eyes open enough to make it through your dull convention. But frankly, the seats are empty, the speeches are flat, and the people who are there are old, white, and bored.

  8. The media reports what the people want to hear. Bigger audiences equals more ad revenue!

  9. The media of course is.  Its the media blogsters who started it.

and no ToYou2 surely yahoo wouldnt be wanting that as they donated most of their political contributions to Obama.

  10. Well Jenn, the Media has its own agenda ... what that is ... I am not sure ... they definitely get hung up on things that us cerebral types find childish and grossly biased ... but I have learned long ago .. that minions will always believe everrything they read and here on TV ... and it takes someone "on point" to wade through the trash (the US media) and find some truth ... if any ....

  11. Yahoo reporters want us to stop talking about Palin, too.

    You game?

  12. i was reading something earlier that says mccain is having a hate affair with the press at this point because he feels this way as well..cant say i blame him...id be a little pissy at this point as well..obama this bristol that
