  5. Well, he broke his OWN record many, many times.

    Roger Conner held the record before Ruth, with only 134.  (Though you see various other totals for Conner...135, or sometimes 138...due to poor record keeping.)

  6. First it was Roger Conner with the Boston Braves , then Babe also with the Boston Braves then Hammerin Hank with the Atlanta Braves, who will later be with the Milwaukee Brewers now its Barry Bonds with San Francisco who will be 44 tomorrow and still No Team wants him, So breaking Records is not a good thing.
