Ok, my friend sold her vehicle to a friend. Two weeks later, the friend comes up with this idea that the car is almost about to die on her as far as the transmission. So now, the friend wants her money back after 2 and a half weeks after buying it. The friend signed the bill of sale and it was a final sale. Now, the friend is arguing to get her money back and give the car back. My friend who sold the car never had any issues even up to the point when she sold it. Is my friend right in not giving her money back since it was a final sale and the car was sold "as is" since it is a used car or is the buyer in the right?

  1. Sounds like buyers remorse. Your friend is correct, she owes nothing. Her friend needs to grow up, cars break all the time, get used to it or buy a car with warranty.

  2. caveat emptor...

    Good luck

  3. User car sales (especially private party) are always as-is unless specified in writing.

The seller is right in this case. Even if it went to court, the buyer is just wasting their time.

  4. word of advice never buy anything from a friend cuz they wont be a friend for long

  5. AS IS means no warranty. No refund on the car. If she was leary about it she should of had it inspected before she bought it. Tell her to enjoy her new car . Your friend owes her nothing.......ujn
