Question:

Who's right me or my mom ?

My mom says i need to eat 3 meals a day and 3 snacks,

but i dont feel i need to eat if im not hungry.

I eat Twice a day, lunch and Dinner, i sleep through breakfast.

Who is right ?

  1. 3 small meals are better than two.  Listen to your mom.

    When you eat your body goes into a working mode. Your digestive system, brain and muscles all react as they should.  

    If you miss too many meals your body shuts down it's metabolism. you go into a pseudo starvation mode. You store more fat on your body and your glucose levels are altered.  

    Eat - exercise and thank your mom

    Your moms probably just worried about you growing.

    But seriously, when my cousins were younger my aunt made them eat 3 times a day, (breakfast lunch and dinner)

    Even when they werent really hungry.

    My cousins are now overweight, because they're so used to eating out of habit..not when they are truly hungry.

    Just eat when your hungry.

    Don't starve yourself, don't stuff yourself.

  7. If you are a diabetic your mom is right. But if not it is ok to eat twice a day. As long as it is not junk food. My daughter is a diabetic and she is 38 now but she didn't eat right and now she is paying for it. So eat healthy and stay healthy. Eat the basic food groups daily.

    Milk

    Meats  

    Fruits  

    Vegetables  

    Breads and grains

    Eating 3 small meals and 3 small snacks a day is the BEST thing because it speeds up your metabolism .

    Most doctors reccomend eating 5 or 6 small meals a day. .
