  1. I think in both your mind will be closed with iron gates.Stick to your own religion.Best wishes

  2. sunni side up as I always say...

  3. you have to understand the differences between the two denomiations.

I am a Shia, my parents taught me that the difference is very simple.

Sunni people believe that, after the prophet Muhammed (PBUH) died, his friends should have taken over the religion and lead it. The should have become the leaders.

On the other hand, the Shia beleive that his heirs, his sons etc should have corried it on.,.

    ur choice which is right

  4. it doesn't matter as long as you're following the Quran and worshiping the ONE God.

  5. well, the important thing is that you are a Muslim. you believe in Allah as the Only God and that Muhammed is his Prophet. for a start, the differences between Sunni and Shia lies only in minority parts in religion. for the most part, we totally agree. the important thing is that we are both united under the name of One God we both say:

"I bear witness that there is no God but Allah, and i bear witness that Muhammed is his slave and messenger"

just clearing out the confusion about the Prophet marrying a younge girl from a Sunni point of view (me):

1400 years ago, Arabic women used to get mature very soon. now, a nine year old is just a child, but back then, nine years old is a perfect time for a woman to get married because they were very very mature. and, i would like to point out to the fact that the nature of the environment is a big factor in the maturity process for women, like in countries that have a tropical weather women get mature sooner than those in countries in the global area. (btw, they lived in the desert)

Aisha was engaged to another person before she got married to Prophet Muhammed. so it was a very common thing to get married at this age. And Aisha is a very mature woman as she memorized lots and lots of Hadiths of the Prophet and is a great source to a lot of the Prophet's sayings.

just follow the words of God (The Quran), words of the Prophet (Hadith) and don't get caught up in all these minor differences. this is the goal that the West is trying to acheive; dividing Muslims and creating wars between them just a way to distract them from the real enemy; them.

Allah said in the Holy Quran:

"And hold fast, all together, by the rope which Allah (stretches out for you), and be not divided among yourselves; and remember with gratitude Allah.s favour on you; for ye were enemies and He joined your hearts in love, so that by His Grace, ye became brethren; and ye were on the brink of the pit of Fire, and He saved you from it. Thus doth Allah make His Signs clear to you: That ye may be guided."

  6. Most understanding?!

What don't you understand in Christianity?

Jesus Christ is right for you.

  7. Do both sides believe the profit Mohammed married a six year old girl and consummated the marriage when this baby girl was only 9.

  8. To pick a side it would have to depend upon what you believe....

Sunni muslims, who are the majority of the Islamic population, believe that Mohammed's descendants have a spiritual connection to the prophet and therefore are the true carriers of the religion.

Shia, on the other hand, specifically believe that his daughter was picked to carry the religion onward; and, as a result they believe the people who followed after Mohammed were incorrectly picked.

Mainly, the division comes down to politics and the majority versus the minority.  Also, you will find that Sunni's tend to be the more tolerant side of the religion.

    Hope that helps.

  9. read and understand Islam and understand the difference sbetween shia and sunni and choose. Basically both are muslims and these division came only after Muhammed's death, hence its unimportant whether if u r a shia or a sunni. u will be a muslim anyways, but depends on whether you agree to sunni or shia belief more.

  10. well the majority of muslims are sunni, including me, but you should really look into both sunni and shia and see what you believe in, shias however they have pictures of imams and they worship imams i think....so i dont believe in it...i think sunni is correct way but it's up to you :)

  11. sunni is the original islam

  12. the best is for u to follow what is there in The Qur'an and the way of the prophet( the Hadith)

  13. why dont you do some research and learn about the prophet Mohammad's life and Imam Ali and decide when you know more information about the difference between sonna and sh3a.....

  14. Out of the fire, and into the frying pan.

  15. Well the most important thing is saying the sahada and sticking to the Truth. Sunni and shia are just two sects of Islam. Sunni is the majority compromising of about 85% of 1.3 billion muslims. Sunni aka Ahel Sunnah wal'Jamah are called sunni because they stick to the Sunnah (way) of the prophet.  The original split between shia and sunni was based on a political issues and not religious issues. The "shias" of that time were sunni as well in their religious beliefs. It wasn't till later generations who changed some of their beliefs to be different from sunni. All this can be confirmed by reading the history of Islam. So a wiser choice would be sunni if you don't want to affliate with any groups but rather want to stick to the  Quran and sunnah  of the Prophet.

  16. I think Islam on the Sunni teachings is a lot more... well it's free from all the extra "opinions" people throw into religion. It sticks to the cores of Islam, and if learnt the right way, will give you a greater peace of mind with no need to worry about peoples interpretations and silly extras.

    =)

  17. JUST BE A MUSLIM

    read this hadith

    Prophet Mohammed PBUH said:

"I have left amongst you two things which, if you hold fast to them, you will never stray: the Book of Allah, and my Sunnah."

so, i say you read the Quran.. you read prophet Mohammed's sunna and you obey them. don't think whether you are a sunni or shia as long as you do what pleases Allah SWT and obey his messenger PBUH.

ONLY Allah SWT is the One who can send you to heaven or h**l, only Allah SWT is the One you have to obey and please. SO, just deal with Allah..

all i'm saying is that even though i'm sunni, i just don't believe that ALL shia are bad just like that NOT ALL sunni are good. Every time i hear that sunni and shia are fighting each other or even just cursing each other, i'm just that close to crying with sadness beacuse that's not what would please Allah and that's not what prophet Mohammed PBUH would want for muslim to become (i.e warring parties)

All i know is that i'm trying my best to obey Allah and please Him, i'm trying my best to follow in the footsteps of prohet Mohammed and i just don't care about anything else. both sunni and shia believe in Allah SWT and his messenger PBUH and that's the core of Islam

i'm a muslim.. proud to be a muslim.. i love Allah.. i fear Allah.. i love prohet Mohammed..

  18. You're not taking sides.

Like someone already said, Islam is basically sunni, just following the teachings of the Quran, Allah (SWA) and Prophet Muhammed (SAW).

Take care, best of luck, I hope everything works out for you.

  19. The side that has a door on it

  20. You are not an atheist. You are a Muslim, always been a Muslim.DON'T LIE.

Choose what you want, it is your delusion NOT mine.

  21. Flip a coin,

    tails = shia

    heads = sunni

Drop coin = go back to being an atheist
