  1. We sold our home in Colorado and moved to Costa Rica. Bought bare property there, moved back to the states after about 3 years. Sold the land in Costa Rica last year. Made more than enough to buy a new home, all the furnishings, new cars and had money left over. Do not regret it at all. Everyone who knew us, said we were crazy, but it worked out great for us.

  2. My daughter and her boyfriend are living in England now.  She is American; he is Austrian.  We consider it temporary, but sometimes I wonder...

  3. We sold our home a few years ago (US)  and on our way to live in Europe.  No regrets so far ... but we'll see when we land across the pond.

  4. Lived abroad as a foreign correspondent for many years & had to return to US.  Can't count the number of times I've regretted having to return.  But I am planning to return to the expat life.

  5. I sold up in UK 10 years ago and went to live in Spain best thing I ever did and would not return to UK.

You have to accept the way of life of the country you live in and not say in Britain we do it this way.

Manana manana and tomorrow never comes.

  6. I left the UK 6 years ago to live in Cyprus. I've never looked back. The kids are very safe here, the schools although not modern, are very good. The weather is hot which is great and we love it here.
