Who's that guy...?

Hey all

Just wondering in an F1 Pit stop what's that fella doing that puts his arm in and out of the hole on either side of the driver?

Like Julian G said, those are radiators. The guys clean them out just in case anything's gotten stuck in them. Rubbish, leaves... for instance

The holes are the radiators, they check to see if any debris has worked its way in there, could lead to overheating. Just like blocking the grill on your car.
