Who's the Olympic MVP?

assuming the obvious that the U.S sqaud wins, There are no captains or captains for this team so anyone from D-Howard, D-Williams Lebron and Kobe can be named the Olympic MVP. Tell me why

Comment-On the 1992 original Dream Team Charles Barkley was the MVP instead of MJ magic or Bird so any answer is a good one.

Carmelo Anthony. Hes the Olympian everyones forgetting about! He's the only one on the team that really understands the international basketball rules completely. He will be the MVP

Your assumption that team USA will win is dubious at best...We are simply outclassed in the Euro Game which is how it's going to be played and referred.  My guess is some Eastern European team is going to hand us our tooshies and that's it...BRONZE yet again for a dysfunctional roster that is on the smallish side and doesn't have a high enough 3pt % overall to play with the Euros. PEACE!

Carmelo has been the leading scorer the past few years, simply because the international rules support his play perfectly.

LeBron, not Kidd/Paul/WIlliams/Billups, has been leading the team in assists.

Howard has been leading in rebounds and blocks (naturally).

6 players were averaging above 15 points - Bryant, James, Anthony, Wade, Howard, Redd, Bosh.

Kobe is the defender placed on the other teams best player.

Wade is the first option off the bench.

Kidd brings the veteral leadership.

Take your pick! Mine is LeBron, since only Kidd, Williams, Paul, and he can run the offense. Melo can't, Wade can't, Bryant can't, etc.

My dream lineup for this team is -

G.Redd

F.James

F.Boozer

C.Howard

So we have the running pg, long range sniper, LeBron (nuff said), an inside presence, and Superman.

He will be the leader and make the U.S.'s message clear: USA is in Beijing to win gold and redeem themselves from what happened in Athens in 2004, where they got the bronze medal.
