  1. Mike Parsons is Bad ***

  2. i would have to say mike parson

    theres proof --http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l8_38LHTe...

  3. Laird Hamilton rewrote the book on big wave surfing that started on the north shore of oahu with greg noll.  He's ridden the biggest waves, he and his friends invented tow in surfing and he developed a board with a hydrofoil that smooths the big wave rides.

  4. id say laird hamilton

  5. deffinatly Eddie Aikau because he has a contest named after him and he was a local and never afraid of the big stuff. Even kelly slater says hes the greatest big wave surfer

  6. Eddie Aikau or Duke Kahanamoku. Eddie has a big wave contest down in Waimea Bay, but Duke surfed a big wave for over a mile because construction made one that big and long and there will never be a wave that big ever again. So you choose Eddie Aikau and the real reason he has that contest is because he went on a paddling team and their boat flipped and he tried to swim 7 miles to save them and a day after he took off they were saved but he was never found again and Duke is the reason Eddie started surfing because he wanted to be just like him

  7. For big waves all you need to turn to is Laird Hamilton, he now holds the record for surfing the biggest waves at 100 feet.

  8. either laird hamilton or greg noll.  both have been pioneers responsible for pushing the sport into new realms.  both based their lives around riding the biggest waves possible.  for sheer balls id have to go with noll since he was out there on older, slower equipment with no ski team to pick him out of the soup.  if you want a great movie on big wave riding pick up riding giants or billabong odysey

  9. Surfer Mag. once called Mike Stuart the best surfer of all-time and incredable he a body-boarder. (mite have spelled his last name wrong). But , no-dout its Laird Hamelton.

  10. Eddie Aikau, no doubt. He´s got a big wave contest named after him. Considering, its only been held 7 times, the waves need to be at least 30 feet for it to go off.

Current best, I´d probably say Garret McNamara (sp), Brad Gerlach or Jamie O´Brien. I´d go with Jamie b-c he doesnt tow in as much, and i personally believe that the drop'in  is one of the hardest parts, having people just tow in really isnt that hard.

  11. Hamelton for sure

  12. Big Bill Broozney.
