  1. Roosy

they wrote him and his team off last year and look who won.....

    YEAH SWANS

  2. Well you could put up an argument for about half of them, but if we base it on this year's results you'd probably say it's between Eade, Malthouse, Craig, Worsfold & Roos.

Sorry about the long answer, but here's each ones argument.

Eade - In only his second year in charge has taken the Doggies from last place into close to a contender.  Has a small list but his game-plan has put them in a great position.  Remember they lost arguably best player Luke Darcy and his backup ruckman Minson to injury.

Malthouse - Collingwood have equalled last years wins total already and are competitive against the best teams around (won 5 of 22 in 2005, currently are 5 of 7). After having his team injury depleted last year he has answered his critics.  We know Collingwood still had the players from their back to back grand final appearances.

Craig - Has done a fantastic job with the Crows.  In 2004 they were looking in decline and finished 12th with 8 wins, in 2005 finished the home and away season on top and lost in the preliminary final.  This year are even stronger having won 6 of 7.  Craig has been missing first choice ruckman Hudson all year, key defender Nathan Bock, Ricciuto has been underdone and Perrie is out for 3 months but they are still flying.  In the past they would've struggled, not under Craig.  the question is why wasn't he made coach earlier.

Worsfold - Underrated coach who's team keeps winning.  Alot of people will say well he's got Judd, Cox, Cousins, Kerr etc. And while this is true, you need to get all these huys on the park and performing together at the top of their ability.  The Eagles had so much trouble off field in the preseason you may have thought they wouldn't have the focus but Worsfold has got them equal first backing uip from last years narrow Grand Final defeat.

Roos - Don't write off the Swans this year.  Most people have, but after starting slowly the Swans are 4-3 and Roos has them in a competitive position.  All he wants to do is have them thereabouts, in the finals for a push towards another flag.  He knows the modern game plan as good as any and has his players execute it.

The winner so far - Neil Craig. 10/10 perfomance year to date.  It's hard to see them going backwards once they get their players fully fit.

    p.s. I'm a Blues fan.

  3. Ron Barrassi as he is a legend.

  4. Mick Malthouse has put collingwood in good form this year. Much to my disgust. He has brought them so far in the last few years.

  5. kevin sheedy

  6. woosha, hes brought the eagles up to grand final from nothing

  7. Bomber Thompson is a legend.

  8. WCE Worsfold..  He wouldn't run out on the eagles if things got tough like Malthouse did.

  9. Kevin Sheedy, because he has coached 600 games for the Bombers and won most of them.

  10. Kevin Sheedy!Go to the web site and see why he is the master coach of AFL!

  11. Grant thomas or Kevin sheedy

Grant took the boys from lasst to 4th on the ladder

Kevin couse hes great in evry thing

  12. BoB Davis - because he took the CATS to the premiership - no-one else has been able to do it since

    turns and walks quietly singing  . . . . .

    We are GEELONG,

    the greatest team of all

  13. Best coach, hmm Worsfold and Eade, in one case I know they played, and they both show good game plans, they think and it doesn't matter what happens off field, they play good footy.

As for the Swans last year, they deserved it more than the Eagles, but it's the Eagles turn this year.

  14. Leigh Matthews was great for a few years, until he started to lose control of his team, that is.

Is anyone else as disappointed as I am with the Lions this year? Lethal had it in the palm of his hand, and now he's really ruining the best team Australia had ever had.

  15. John Worsfold because he was a player as well and knows excatly how to make the team work together, play hard..He brought them up from bottom when malthouse buggered off on them and brought them back up to the top 3 players. The team is loyal to him, and respectful.

  16. I have no idea. Because i'm not interested.

  17. Mick Malthouse

    Because Consider The Citation

Collingwood Was In. Also I Have A Soft Spot For

    Keven Sheedy

  18. Worsfold because he's a west aussie.

  19. woooshha!!!!

he's a west Aussie and he made Cox,Embers and Gray so good.

    with out cox no ruck!!!

  20. John Worsfold, 'cos he's the Eagles coach.

  21. sheeds coz hes old

  22. Kevin Sheedy  he has achieved alot in last 20yrs coaching just one team.

  23. Based on winning ratio since he began coaching - Neil Craig.

  24. i would have to say Kevin Sheedy (Sheeds) who else can achieve what he has achieved in last 20yrs coaching just one team. Sad loss for Richmond.

  25. Kevin Sheedy. I say this as a die-hard Carlton supporter too, so no bias.

  26. Leigh Mathews. he's got the score on the board Premierships with two different clubs, collingwood and three in the trot with the lions.

  27. Mick Maltouse - Collingwood coach, need I say more

  28. Barassi, he can walk on water!

  29. Rocket Eade, because he is coaching the most exciting brand of football in the league and winning games.  Much better then then negative and defensive coaching of Roos.

  30. mick malthouse

    collingwood coach

he must be doing somthing right......
