Is it the Cubs or is it the Angels. I've been trying to decide for the past couple weeks. Currently they are tied for the best record and both have great pitching and hitting. What do you guys think?

  1. Really, it's the Angels.  They're just great all around.

When Crawford and Longoria are back on the Rays, they're the best team in baseball.

    Right now:

    1. Angels

    2. Rays

    3. Cubs

  2. Angels, although we won't really know who is the best team until the end of October.

  3. Angels! The cubs get to play in the NL. They play the pirates, Reds, Astros, Padres, Giants and all those other crappy teams. They only good team in the NL is the Brewers. cubs are the most overrated team in the history of baseball!!! They will choke again!!

  4. The answer to that will be determined in Oct.  And it may be "neither"

  5. Angels

  6. Cubs, had more big names playing for them in the past

  7. The Cubs obviously beacuse they play in a tougher division

  8. Angels because they are all around and k rod is the best closer right now

  9. The Angels aren't nearly as great as their record indicates.  They play in the weakest division in the game.  Also they are fortunate that the AL this year has had ALOT of surprises.  WHom would have thought that the playoffs team would be the Angels, Rays, White Sox and the Twins(Red Sox should make it but you never know!!).  The Angels key person is Scioscia.  I think that he is one of the better managers in today's game.  K Rod is outstanding but check out Joe Nathan's numbers this year.  K Rod is getting ALOT More opportunities to save games but he hasn't been the best closer in baseball this year though.  I think that the Angels are the cream of the crop in the regular season but I think that it's wide open come playoff time.  Angels starters aren't that dominating.

The Cubs are hands down the best team in the NL from top to bottom.  They will cruise with the best record in the NL going into the playoffs.  The crazy thing is that this is a team without a legit super star.  No Pujols, no A Rod, no Manny etc.  If they have a weakness, it would be consistent hitting.  They can go a few games scoring 5-10 runs and then a few getting 1-2 runs versus average pitchers.  If they score 4 or more, they are close to unbeatable because of their consistent starting pitching and relief.

So based on what the teams are going this second, I would give the Cubs a slight edge over the Angels because their front starters of Zambrano, Harden, Dempster and their deep bench(plays a huge role in alot of wins.)

  10. The Cubbies.  Offensively they have no breaks at all in their lineup.  Plus they have to compete with the Brewers and the Cardinals on a regular basis who own the 2nd and 3rd best records in the NL respectively as oppose to the Angels who don't have much competition in their division.

  11. I will say the Angels because I hate the Cubs.

    Go Brewers

  12. Angels

  13. THE METS!!!!!!
