he is the main reason why the Yankees won the 4 WS, and even when he is struggling HE IS THE GUY that you can rely on in the clutch.

Varitek is the better captain he is one of the few unrecognized captains in the league he had to put up with Manny Ramirez the worst Jeter has had is probably Jason Giambi.

Both are great Captains that why they are Captain, I see Jeter more and i know the Yankees respect him a lot and people he says he is not vocal ,  he is just not with the Public, Varitek is evertyhing tot eh Sox he controls a game, and i remember  he got injured in 2006 and the Red Sox just went down Hill
