  1. Ozzy

  2. Obviously Osgood has more experience, whether he is better or not is hard to say. Ozzie has such a talented team in front of him.  It s real close as the numbers show.  Ozzie has more everything right now, (stat wise overall etc) but time will tell how good Fleury really is.  LET'S GO RED WINGS!!!

  3. Ozzie... Fleury is a good goaltender but I think he will get flustered when the Wings come charging at him.  Especially Zetterberg and Datsyuk.  Fleury doesn't have the experience behind him like Ozzie does.... he will get there though.  I don't doubt his talent.

  4. We'll find out soon enough.

  5. That's a tough one. I think Osgood has an edge on this one because he has a lot of experience.

  6. I'd say Osgood.  The only reason Osgood has fewer wins is because Hasek started, but Osgood's proved he's the better goalie.  Obviously, Fleury would start as opposed to Conklin.  But you can't argue with a better save percentage.

Plus, Osgood has had to play the better team.  Dallas has Turco, Morrow, Modano, Zubov, Ribeiro, etc.  The Flyers have Biron, who has been decent, and Briere.

  7. Kind of a hard question.  Better one is" which Goalie works better with his team" ?  In that case, Ozzie hands down.

    Ozzie...  Ozzie ..... Ozzie

  8. The Wizard of Oz

  9. Osgood.

Let's not forget that Fleury was hurt and a healthy benchwarmer for many games this season. This run for HIM speaks more to how well the team in front of him is now playing.

  10. We'll find out in a couple days.

  11. Fleury is better than Osaverage.

The Wings didn't face teams with the same kind of offensive power that the Pens have so far in the playoffs, so Osaverage's numbers are a bit inflated.

Which team that the Wings faced had 7 different 20-goal scorers? (Phily)

Which team had comperable forwards like Jagr, Shanahan, Dubinski, Straka?

The Wings D is excellent, as is the Pens, but when it comes to shutting down goal scorers, Fleury gets the edge.

  12. Although I don't think goaltending will be the deciding factor, I would rather have the experience and stability of Osgood - who simply plays well and wins game after game and year after year - than a young goalie who has a lot of talent and is playing well.  Which is most likely to continue the hot play?  They guy who's done it all season, AND for years on end.

  13. I'm probably 100% biased because Ozzie is my favorite player, but he's been amazing this year and has the experience factor. He won the cup for the Wings in 98 and I'm hoping that he can do the same 10 years later.

    Let's go Red Wings!!!

  14. Fleury.

    Go pens.! :)

  15. osGOD

  16. they are both doing great, but for both of them, the defense helps alot.

i'd say fleury. osgood's defense is probly a little better than fleury's, and fleury has made more quality saves thn osgood. most of osgood's are keeping it out when a crowd crashes the net.

  17. Ozzie.  He has ice water in his veins.

  18. Who cares???

Its about the team.  Both goalies are great.  Osgood has proved it during his career, Fleury is now beginning his career.  This series will not be decided by goaltending.  Goaltending is the key for the lower seed teams like Nashville showed.  That is what got many former finalist's to the Finals... '03 Ducks, '06 Oilers, '04 Flames.

These two teams are not here because of goaltending, the goaltenders have done their job but the teams are here because of the entire teams.

  19. Fleury is point blank the best goalie on the planet right now.  not only is his sv% the best in the playoffs, but he has 3 shut outs and no other goalie has more than 1.  The incredible number for him is that hes allowed 2 goals or less in 26 of his last 31 starts.  Thats remarkable consistency.

  20. osgood and u will see

  21. Both are good.........I prefer Osgood.

  22. Id say its a wash.
