  1. Probably Pete Sampras

  2. Has to be Agassi. The only man in the Open era to win all four Grand Slam tournaments. Nobody else has ever done that.

  3. pete sampras..

  4. 2 its all i can say....

  5. None of the above, in terms of results the greatest man has to be Rod Laver but in terms of contributions not only to the sport but to improving society I think Arthur Ashe and Martina Navratilova must rank right up there.

  6. You have given only five choices means that the question itself is out of place.

They are all good players except becker and Federer

  7. This list is incomplete. There are so many great tennis legends that you have missed out.

  8. For me it has to be Bjorn Borg.  Of the four surfaces that the grand slams are played on, grass is at one extreme and clay at the other.

You can only really judge a player by his own era because things are constantly changing, especially the equipment they use, it is getting better and better.

Borg won 5 Wimbledon's and 6 French Opens.  His favourite surface was clay but he adapted to grass very well.

Sampras and Federer are both great grass court players but both cannot adapt to clay very well.  For me as long as Nadal is around Federer will never win the French.

    1. Bjorn Borg

    2. Who cares

  9. The tennis era?  And when would that be?  If you mean the open era, then here's my list:

    1.Sampras

    2. Federer

    3. Borg

    4. Agassi

    5. Connors

    6. Lendl

    7. McEnroe

    8. Wilander

    9. Becker

    10. Courier

  10. Pete Sampras. Always a fighter, never got upset, and won the most grand slams.

  11. Right now the greatest ever is undisputedly Pete Sampras, but Federer is a real close second to me and he has accomplished allot more than Sampras did throughout his whole career.  Eventually Federer will become the greatest player ever, it's really inevitable and his destiny, I believe he will.

  12. Borg and Sampras

  13. In my mind...the honor would go to Pete or Andre

  14. i can't rank so i'll do categories

    1. Borg, Sampras, Lendl, Agassi, Federer

    2. Becker, Connors, Edberg, McEnroe

    3. Nastase, Wilander

  15. How could you not list Andre Aggasi?

  16. Guillermo Vilas. 1977 was a great year for him. And he was not recognized #1 because at that time he was "prohibited" that a Latin is #1. ATP=Shameless
