Who's the man who used to go around to sporting events holding up a sign in the background with a bible verse?

He was a protestor and would many times wear a wig. He always got in camera's view. He did this primarily in the 80's and 90's. I believe he was killed by police during a protest??? Anyone know?

Rollen Stewart is not dead, just in jail and repeatedly denied parole.  He took a cleaning lady hostage in a hotel bathroom when he flipped out and started saying the world was ending in six days.  There's no record of him ever being involved in a protest, only sporting events.
