  1. marvellous marvin hagler.

  2. Mike tyson was the most ruthless. He bit one of his best opponents ears off. He jumped around one official that was trying to get in the middle to stop his fight, and kept punching almost knocking the official over.  He stated after that very fight he wanted to eat his next opponents children. He told a group of reporters he wished they had kids so that he could stomp on their testicals so they could feel his pain.  He grabbed his privates at a press conference and told a reporter he'd F---- them til he loved him ended by calling him an slang word for homosexual as the conclusion to a profanity laced tirade of threats and inuindo.  He stated he wanted to crush one opponents nose inside his head.  He  told another group of reporters before his Razor Ruddock fight that if Razor didn't die, the win didn't count.  He told a tv journalist in an interview that he'd cuss if he wanted to cuss (after using the F word) and told the interviewer if he didn't like it to turn off the station. then ended the interview with "f---off" just to name a few....

  3. Holyfield

He urinated 15 lbs of muscle after his cruiserweight 1st title shot because he used all his energy, reserves and fat and he didnt give up! He also had a heart condition and is still boxing!

  4. tyson....

    jack johnnson

    herbie hide

    mayourga

    liston

    goloter

    buran

    harrison

    all bad boys

  5. Some boxers I would consider:

Stanley Ketchel - A middleweight from early in the 1900s.  He was a hard punching, hard living, and utterly angry middleweight.  When he was shot and killed by the husband of a woman he was sleeping with, his manager said "Just start counting, he'll get up before they get to 10"

Roberto Duran - Duran as a lightweight was a remorseless savage in the ring.  After KO'ing Ray Lampkin he looked at him unconscious and said "If I was in shape, they would be taking him to the morgue, not the hospital!"

Sonny Liston - Spent time in prison and his relentless persona was no act.

Mike Tyson - the latter version of Tyson was fighting like a desperate man, biting opponents and trying to break their arms.  But in his prime, he was scary.  He boasted the he tried to drive Jesse Ferguson's nosebone through his brain.  And after destroy Tyrell Biggs, he claimed how he had him screaming like a woman with body punches.

  6. That would be Mike Tyson of the mid to late 1980's. He was an animal.

  7. I could think of several fighters who would fit such label (ketchel, liston, dempsey to name a few) but only one stands out.....in the latter part of the 1980's boxing was dominated by one man, his name was michael gerard tyson....for three years he terrorrized the heavyweight division in a way that has not been seen before nor since, tyson was a fighter with great power and hand speed and the viciousness to match, he did not fight to win, he was one of those boxers who truly wanted to hurt his opponents, he wanted to maim you with every punch and what was even scarier is that everyone watching could see it.....his menacing looks and heavily muscled body gave also helped create this image and his thrilling first round knock outs only contributed to that, i remember clearly at the time...many older boxers felt that he was the most scary and ruthless heavyweight fighter they had seen 9this was before his fall from grace)....holmes tried to prove to others and to himself that tyson was not as good as people said.......four rounds later he was on the canvas dazed after receiving brutal punishment from iron mike. I can remember very well the expressions of those that were about to step into the ring with him, there was a look of resignation in their eyes, like the eyes of those deathrow inmates about to be executed, tyson would stare straight into their eyes without wavering while they would look at the ground or sideways...then the bell would ring and the massacre would start again....for three years tyson not only defeated but destroyed those that were put before him and the few that survibed him were never the same afterwards....mike had an aura of invincibilty usually reserved for ancient greek heroes, he 'd walk into the ring shirtless with a determined look on his face surrounded by his entourage and you could cut the tension with a knife....normally when a popular boxer steps into the ring people cheer but it was different with tyson.....there was a mistifying silence when he walked towards the ring as if the fans could not help but be in awe of what they were seeing and each night mike gave those fans a fight to remember...even if the fight lasted a few seconds........In the late 1980's a man rose out of the slums of new York and through the help of a dying boxing legend he climbed to the top of the boxing world ruilng it as a ruthless dictator who showed no mercy towards those foolish enough to fight him....i remember his seventh professional fight against michael johnson....it was the most vicious knockout i ever saw, in the slow motion replay you can actually see the exact moment in  which his jaw broke after tyson knocked him out...they had to carry him out because he was omemntarily knocked unconscious....then and there some people knew that tyson was something special...but not many people foresaw what he would become.

  8. Mike Tyson was actually a nice guy outside the ring..

My uncle met him back when Tyson was still boxing.

  9. Mike Tyson. He went into the ring with ONE purpose: To tear your head off and win, no matter what! In other words this will sum up Mike Tyson: HATED BY MANY, RESPECTED BY FEW and FEARED BY ALL!
