  1. Truly, the last held title of 'princess of india' was Queen Elizabeth and her sister the late Princess Margaret from 1947-1948 before the title was abandoned. India gained there independence in 1948 therefore abolishing every act of monarchy in their country.

  4. India has many royal families that actually receive money from the government or they are allowed to be exempt from various taxes, etc.  There isn't any particular princess of India, nor any queen or king either.
