  1. i believe its in almost all cases the comsumers fault

as you said, they are the ones that decide to eat their food, if they dont want to be overweight they really shouldnt be eating out.

  2. The consumer. No one gets a gun to their head and is ordered to eat at McDonald's. America is all about convenience. McDonald's is fast and convenient.

  3. The overweight people. It's not McDonald's fault that people don't have enough self control to know when to stop eating. It's like saying it was the bullet that killed the guy not the person who pulled the trigger. It's completely idiotic.

  4. When one is overweight because of what/how much one eats, it's their own fault. It is widely known how unhealthy fast food is, people take the risk at their own choice.

  5. What i think is that, its the people's fault for allowing themselves to become over weight. Although Mcdonald's isn't healthy people are in control of how much they eat and how what they eat effects their health.

  6. Both, yet mostly the overweight people.

You must keep in mind that overweight/obese people have been on the high rise in just the past 5, maybe 10 years.

But McDonalds has been around since the 50's. Ofcourse, McDonalds has upped the portion sizes, trans fat, grease, and other empty caloric things.

But- whos keeping McDonalds in business? The people. Nobody is forcing them to eat this garbage.

Because of children eating all of this processed food, little girls are starting puberty at 8 and 9 years old because of all the hormones the animals are fed.

So,yes there should be more restraunts like chipotle and subway- but there would be more, if the people chose these healthier options, rather than TransFattyCentral.

  7. The fat- I mean overweight people are to blame. They shouldn't have been so d**n retarded and eaten the fatty foods. The people who want to have fast food should go to Wendy's because it's A LOT healthier but it's still fast food.

  8. The consumer.  Nobody forces people to eat fast food.

  9. the consumer they choose to eat at mcdonalds they choose to be lazy and not cook there own meal or buy a quick micro wave food item consumer.

  10. Wouldn't it be the peoples fault because they are the ones that are choosing to go eat there? couldnt they go and eat somewhere else? or do they always have to get the cheeseburger or the big mac maybe they can mix in a salad from time to time.

  11. Consumer. McDonalds probably isn't the only thing making them be overweight. Lake of exercise and unhealthy diet also contribute.

  12. I believe it's the consumer's fault. They choose to eat there, they choose to not exercise. It's their body, they should be responsible for it. If they took a knife & stabbed someone, they would be responsible for that, not the company that makes the knife!

  13. if they didn't eat there, they wouldn't become the fat, lawsuit-happy jackasses they are

  14. It's the consumer's choice. Nobody wants to take responsibility for their own actions these days.

  15. BOTH. McDonalds makes the food. They are trying to get a little healthier with their wraps and such, BUT the consumers eat the food. It is their choice whether to eat it or not and WHAT to order. So, really I would have to lean more towards the consumers fault.

  16. its the overweight people that decide to eat that fat greasy so called "burgers".

  17. definetly Mc donalds fault cauz they can get rid of all of their fattening foods and get alternate ones like ONLY healthy things, so the overweight people dont have no other options

  18. Overweight people.

  19. Ultimately the consumer is responsible for what they consume.

Thats not to say that McDonalds doesnt have A LOT to answer for.

  20. Obviously, it's the consumers fault. Saying it's McDonald's fault is like saying people are lazy because of the advent of the transistor.

  21. I blame McDonald's for existing in the first place and than i blame the consumers who support those infamous greasy fried restaurants. Im 14 and i hate McDonalds.

  22. Consumer.  At least they have the choice at Mcdonalds to eat somewhat healthy (salads etc).  Now if you ask about the tobacco companies, then I would have to say the tobacco industry cause they are supplying an addictive ingredient to the consumer

  23. It's the consumer. They don't HAVE to go there. They are choosing to go there.

  24. Just like living a spirit-filled life, you have a choice...( I am not talking about children who have to eat whatever their parents give them)..

  25. It's always the person's fault. However I do agree it would be EASIER for people to choose if there were more healthy choices out there. I know some blocks where I live in Atlanta all you can see are fast food restaurants.

People just need to be more informed and some people don't care. It's up to the person.

  26. Bottom line is that no one can make you fat but you!  I'm not overweight, but I enjoy a little fast food once in a while.  I don't eat it everyday, nor do I feed it to my kids everyday.  Anything in moderation is OK.

  27. The consumer.  It's not like McDonald's is holding a semi-automatic rifle to their head and telling to eat a Big Mac or die, right?  Besides, there ARE things on their menu that are calorie concious.

It's not about fault, it's about being responsible.

  28. McDonald's isn't standing there, force feeding people.  It's the people's choice to "dine" there.

  29. Nobody is being forced into overeating. So we can't really

blame Mcdonalds. We need to make better choices about

what and how much we eat. And we should exercise more.

  30. the people. McDonalds have on each productthe amount of calories, fats, carbsandso on. The fat people know it is fatening as h**l. They just have no respect for themselves and go there to treat their bodies like ****.

  31. Consumers of McDonald's. Without them, McDonald's would not have any business, and therefore close. The Law of Supply and Demand in work, without the invisible hand.
