  1. When it all comes down to it, I say the Packers are more in the wrong.  They pushed Favre out of Green Bay and havent really wanted him back the last couple of years. Pushing an Icon out is never going to go well with the fans. Yes, Favre retired and I dont blame the Packers for moving on and naming Rodgers their new guy. But the fact of the matter is, Rodgers, Brohm and Flynn have 0 starts between the 3 of them and they are banking on 1 good half against Dallas to go with Rodgers. This is going to be one of the biggest follies in NFL history. I'll be surprised to see the Packers make the playoffs. I think that Aaron Rodgers wont last as the starter, once Brian Brohm gets his chance to start which will be fairly soon, that hes gonna be their guy. I do predict that Ted Thompson and Mike McCarthy will be run out of town quickly if the Packers dont make the playoffs. As for Favre, I think he'll do ok and make the playoffs but retire(for good) after a season or 2 but unfortunately on a bad note.

  2. Well, I can say this: Favre officially retired. He had the press conference and filed the papers with the league. To me, that says that he wanted to retire and stay retired.

The Packers took him at his word (and documentation) and moved on. Then Favre completely changed his course and expected the Packers to do the same thing.

So I'll say that Favre is wrong.

  3. Ted Thompson will now,and always,be"the man that traded away Brett Favre".Whether that makes him right or wrong is your call. But TT was the cause of Favre's discomfort during his last two seasons,so it's either Thompson's actions or Favre's reactions that were wrong.(IMHO, my choice is TT,Because he's been a total jerk through and through during this soap opera that went on far too long!)

  4. no one is wrong, its just a conflict of intrests. brett made a bad decision in retiring if he still wanted to play but that doesnt make him wrong. if he wants to play he can play if a team wants him. the packers didnt, they already committed to aaron rogers. thats why they traded him

  5. Both....Favre threw the team under the bus after being given a couple chances to come back. He behaved very badly and proved his ego was the only thing at stake in this pissing contest. Also Packer management is wrong. They needed to handle the situation differently, the guy is a Spuer Bowl winner and League MVP and multiple record holder (sadly I think he values the records far too much) and was the face of the franchise. Management has made Rodgers into the villian in the eyes of a lot of Packer fans, this only serves to set the team up for a divided lockerroom and and a fan base that is looking for Rodgers to fail. Not how you keep a winning team on the field. But much of that blame also belongs to Favre, I for one after admiring him for so long will hope his season personally is worse than whatever happens with Rodgers, it would be a bit of justice for the pain he caused the franchise after all the incredible support they gave him following his wifes cancer, his Dads passing and his brother in laws death.....most franchises would not go to the lengths the Packers organization went to for him and it is a shame he forgot that while attempting to turn fans against them.....shameful!

  6. Farve, he's one of my favorite football players but come on don't retire then unretire!

  7. Favre...I feel bad for Chad Pennington....even though he never even played an entire season (due to various injuries), he was still a decent QB and shouldn't have got kicked to the curb just cause favre has a wild hair up his *** and can't make up his dang mind.

  8. Nether... It's fair for a future hall of famer to want to continue his career. Brett Favre did say he was going to retire for 3 or 4 years before changing his mind again so it's also fair for the Packers to move on. In the end though, everyone got something out of it.

  9. Favre is wrong. No one wants to admit but he is a crying little baby that only wants attention.

  10. Wasn't Favre supposed to be RETIRED???

  11. comunication was the problem on both sides and chad had his time  he got hurt
