Who's you favorite sci-fi author?

ocatavia E. Butler. she wrote the liliths brood series. I dont usually like Sci-Fi, but i love this book! I read it all the time.

Ditto on Connie Willis, especially The Doomsday Book.  Also John Brunner (Shockwave Rider) and Sheri S. Tepper (any of them, but most recently The Margarets).

I love Connie Willis. My favorite book by her is 'To Say Nothing of the Dog.' I'd highly recommend any of her work.

Laurell K. Hamilton.  She blends sensuality, scifi, and fantasy so well.

I believe that Karen Traviss is my current most favorite Sci-Fi author. Her Wess'har series, starting with City of Pearl, are quite fascinating stories, and I have really enjoyed the first three books in the series.

Other favorites include Charles Stross (Glasshouse, Merchant Princes series), Harry Turtledove, SM Stirling (The Sky People), Douglas Adams (Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy), Piers Anthony, David Weber (Honor Harrington series) and Eric Flint.

I have read many of the books by these authors and greatly enjoyed them.
