  1. What a cheerful soul you are lol ........mmmm I felt sick for 3 days when Lennon was shot (lead poisoning), the blackest day in rock ever.

Rory Storm - a haunting story.

Brian Epstein - 32 years old and with some much hope? (yes a manager sorry).

The singing Nun - commited suicide (sad story).

    ok enough.

George was too young to go.

  2. George Harrison.

Epstein, since you said he counted.

Freddie Mercury (Most of you forgot him =p)

    ...Yeah.

Well George was 58, John was 40. People have to remember that pre-modern medicine, or all medicine, man would only live to 40, at least that's what I read somewhere.

If you're talking young, Hendrix. 27...

  3. Michael Hutchence, the original singer of INXS.

  4. (John Lennon was (murdered), but yes. a crying shame.  There were many, among my favorites are Harrison, Garcia, and Brent Midland from the Dead.  Oh, and there is Jimmy, Janice, and so on....

  5. George Harrison is definitely up there. A unique voice and strong musician. I hate watching archival Beatles footage and seeing him CONSTANTLY smoking. I want to jump into the past and yell, "Stop George!" =( But he was great and his brilliant music lives on and on.

    Others are -

Syd Barrett, the first Pink Floyd frontman (pancreatic cancer)

Miles Davis (pneumonia, respiratory failure, stroke)

    Nick Drake (antidepressant overdose)

    Linda McCartney (breast cancer)

Jimmy McCulloch, Wings guitarist (heroin overdose)

    Jim Morrison (drug overdose... right?)

  6. Johnny & Joey Ramone, and Joe Strummer.

EDIT: To the guy who said Kurt Cobain, a shotgun is not a disease.

  7. Freddy Mercury

  8. Freddy Mercury...champion!

  9. Chuck Schuldiner

  10. Is depression a disease?

---> suicide = Kurt Cobain & Elliott Smith. Although Cobain's could be disputed. Actually, both could be disputed. Fuhget it.

  11. Chuck Shuldiner

  12. George Harrison really is my favorite.

My second favorite would be Jimi Hendrix.

  13. Jeff Healey!

    His story is really sad.

He lost both of his eyes to cancer at only 8 months old!

Cancer free for 38 years and then gets cancer of the connective or supportive tissue (bone, cartilage, fat, muscle, blood vessels) and soft tissue which spread to his lungs and was the eventual cause of death.

Edit: Hard Day's Night, I believe Mercury's Girl is talking about Freddie Mercury not George Harrison being g*y!

It's just not very clear the way she wrote it.  She just wanted him to Stop Smoking.

  14. Freddie Mercury, RIP

  15. George Harrision. i ♥ him he was so amasing and talented! i wish he was still around and i wish John Lennon was still around  :( rip George and John! sorry John dident die of a disease but i fell i should add him!

  16. Mine Is George Harrison, died at such a young age too, same age as my dad when he died.

George and Ringo are the best, and such good lookers too.

  17. Brad Delp from Boston. He was mentally ill, which caused him to commit suicide. He was a great singer. Also my very good friend, John Entwistle. He dies of a heart attack. He was and still is the best bassist in the world!

  18. Elvis-over dosed ,still debated so is Jim Morrison-over dosed,if plane crash count,Buddy Holly and Ricky Nelson

  19. Freddie Mercury :)

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I guessed right for you... hehe.

Guitarist93- I see where you're coming from with that, but Kurt Cobain really didn't die because of the heroin. And I like the 'Animals' icon.

As for you, A Hard Day's Night, that picture is ADORABLE. :)

  20. Karen Carpenter - The entire world was at a loss for words when we lost her voice.  That's also when anorexia nervosa became a household word.

  21. Among mine I select Bob Marley, though Stevie Ray Vaughan is a close second.

I'm guessing yours is George Harrison, who died of lung cancer 29 Novembre 2001

  22. Bob Marley

    Otis Redding

    Janis Joplin

    Minnie Riperton

    Jimi Hendrix

  23. Freddie Mercury

  24. Jim Morrison.

  25. George Harrison.

  26. Joe Strummer who died on December 22 2002 of a undisclosed heart condition who was 50 years old his birthday which was 6 days ago he would have been 56 and he died very young

  27. Freddy Mercury: AIDS

  28. Since disease and illness aren't chosen, that won't include those like Jimi, Cobain and others though I love their music.

    I'm a rock-n-roller,  but I choose Mozart.

  29. It is really hard for me because i pretty much only listen to dead musicians, but some of my favourites would have to be John Lennon, George Harrison, Jim Morrison, Johnny Cash, Dimebag Darrel, Freddy Mercury, John Denver, Michael Hutchense, Janis Joplin, Brian Jones, Jimi Hendrix, Bon Scott, John Bonham, Keith Moon, Joey Ramone, Johnny Ramone, Dee Dee Ramone, Bob Marley, Duane Allman, Steve Clark, John Entwistle and much more.

  30. Keith Moon, John Entwistle, Freddie Mercury,Joe Strummer, and Janis Joplin

i love them all. i cant pick only one.

  31. <-----------------------

Freddie Mercury. it will be 17 years since AIDS devoured his body to the point of death on November 24th.

like was said about George harrison and the somking (he's my second favourite), when i see him acting all g*y and talking about s*x, i just think "stop it. STOP IT!! turn straight, go marry Mary Austin, just dont sleep with that g*y freak you met in a club!". he was so full of life. He shouldn't have died, he wasn't the type...

he was 45 when he died, but he got AIDS around 5 years earlier (to his knowledge), and when he found out, he stopped smoking, drinking, and doing everything that he loved, but shouldn't do. he must have died in misery... =,[
