Iris from mega man battle network 6 for GBA it was one of the last GBA games to come out before it was engulfed by the power of DS.

Falco Lombardi from the Star Fox series. He's such a badass, and he's the only one of your teammates who you don't have to constantly rescue.

I'd nominate Knuckles from the Sonic series if it wasn't for the fact that I don't think he should be a sidekick...I miss the days before Shadow when Knuckles was an anti-hero and a general jerk.

I have 2 that I like the most.

First one being Daxter from the Jak games ( great games), he didn't do anything, but he always made me laugh and was a smartass like someone above said.

Second being Agro, the horse you have in Shadow of the Colossus ( yes, I mention that game a lot), he was your only companion in the lonely barren world, he was so loyal and would always be there for you ( except for certain colossi, like when he can't cross a lake), plus he could always take care of himself when you're fighting the colossi; he'd dodge out of the way if a Colossi tried to stomp on us. I almost cried when he... I better not spoil it ( he doesn't die)
