who's your favorite sire?

and do you back horses who have been sired by your favorite sire? who are some of his offspring?

AP Indy.  How can you argue with a pedigree like that??  I also like Tiznow's pedigree and he has produced pretty good racehorses so far (Colonel John!).

I do pay attention to racehorses who have been sired by those two.  After Rags to Riches (by AP Indy) won the belmont, I added to my virtual stable all of her younger brothers and sisters.  It's hard to keep track of all of the horses that any horse has sired because there are typically so many of them...  about a hundred per year... maybe less depending on fertility and breeding luck.  But yes, when I see one by a good sire, I'll pay it a little mroe attention.

My favorite betting sire was Alydar (now deceased).  But I don't bet sires anymore because I've been burned too many times that way.
