Which of those three questions annoys you the most?

KIDDING. :) But seriously...those 3 questions drive me crazy.

BASEBALL QUESTION: Is there any team currently leading their division who you think won't be leading their division by the end of the season?

  1. I hate whos your favorite team questions.

  2. I don't think the Mets have enought talent to make it all the way.  The Phillies will over take them.

I still pulling for the Pirates to win it all!!

  3. Well, the Dodgers and Diamondbacks are tied for their division lead so one of them for sure won't be leading it by the end of the season.

I'm pretty worried about my Mets holding off the Phillies unless someone emerges from that mess of a bullpen to become a real stopper until/if Wagner gets back.

And, I still can't quite convince myself that Tampa is for real...September has a way of crushing a team's hopes and Boston has the experience and temperament to make a run at it.

  4. Is so & so hot & who will win the World Series when it's the offseason & the actual Series is MONTHS!!!! away.

    Answer: The Mets.

  5. New York yankees, I don't care who wins it , because the Rays are cool like that

    Who is your Favorite team

Maybe the White Sox becuase they are close to the Twins

  6. Who will win the World series, i hate that question, specially at the beginning of the year, i remember someone asked that question before the season started and a lot of people said the TIGERS...lol....

  7. I agree with you; "Who will win the WS" is awful, especially in the first week of play.

"Why did the Rays drop Devil from their name?" Who cares. And then there are those people that say "See what happens when you drop Devil from your name" and I just kind of roll my eyes.  *sigh*

But my least favorite question is the "Who is your favorite team?" question.  First of all, just check the search bar.  Second, it's just a waste of points and time.  Third, you can figure out who most of us cheer for by our username, or just by checking out our profile.  I mean, O'sgirl_luvs#5 is kind of self-explanatory.  Well, at least the O'sgirl part.  The luvs#5 is of course referring to Ian Kinsler. =)

I think the NL East is up for grabs.  Who knows what could happen?

  8. Question 3 - Well, they do play in the south, and are close to Orlando, which has a place called "Holy Land" amusement park.

    www.theholylandexperience.com

And that probably attracts a certain type of tourist, and having "devil" in the name would probably turn some people away. God knows it's a sin that they can't fill that stadium with the team doing as well as they are.

  9. Rays

    A team

    Exorcism

    :P

    The last one

Yea that's got to be the Cubs. The Brewers and the Cardinals are just too good. One of them HAS to overpass them

  10. Whose your favorite team does get annoying after awhile & others include:

    What's this card worth?

Are these good stats for a 13 year old?

Your question is a good one, but the AL Central, NL East & West  are too close to say if a team doesn't hold the lead. I would say the Rays or even the Cubs, but who knows what will happen

  11. They drive me nuts, too.  But as they say "Inquiring minds want to know"  but everyday???

BQ -- I think the Twins will win the AL Central and the Dodgers will take the NL West

  12. You forgot, "Wait the trade deadline is over, how did (insert name here) get traded. I don't get it!" That one has been bugging me lately. As well as, "Who will win the World Series?"

  13. rays if crawford and longoria come back

  14. You are so right about those three questions.  The "Who will win the World Series", is by far the most annoying.  I don't even bother with those types of questions.

As far as teams leading their divisions by the end of the season, I'd have to say I'm sticking with my pre season picks.  Regardless who may be leading now I'll answer by saying I picked the Dodgers, Cubs, & Phillies in the NL and the Yankees, Tigers, Angels in the AL.  Until the math doesn't work anymore, I'm sticking to my original picks.

  15. Who's my favorite team? New York Yankees

Who will win the WS? I hope it's the Yanks, but I think it will be the Angels or even the Mets.

Why the Rays drop the "Devil" from their name? I think they originally had the "devil" there to make it like the nickname for the manta ray, now they want it to be like a ray of sunshine, because it's a Florida team.

Which of those 3 questions annoys me the most? Who will win the WS?

    BASEBALL ANSWER: Chicago Cubs

  16. I guess I haven't been around long enough to be annoyed quite yet...but I'm sure the repetition will bother me eventually :-p.

There are a couple teams I don't think will hold on.

I think LA will win the NL west (they trail by 1 game currently). I think the additions of Manny and Greg Maddux will give them an edge down the stretch.

I think the Cubs will slip as well, although both them and MIL will make the playoffs anyway. I just think the Brewers will step it up in their remaining head to head battles and I trust C.C. to keep dominating more than I do Harden (taking nothing away from him, I think he's a top tier pitcher).

I think the White Sox will hold on, although perhaps just barely. But it also wouldn't surprise me if they have a tough streak of close games. I think I'd just like to see Jr. in the postseason more than anything.

Tampa looks great right now, and their doing it with some key injuries...so if they can keep hold of the lead until their players come back, I don't see why they shouldn't hold on, and maybe even keep Boston and NYY out of the playoffs. (I know you wouldn't like that as a Boston fan, sorry) :-p

so yeah, I guess the only one I'd say I really think will change, is the NL West....Webb and Haren (and even Randy) are great, but I don't think they'll be enough for ARI to hold on.

  17. The Chi White Sox will get knocked out of the front runner seat because our MN Twinkies are unstoppable...or they will be ;)

  18. I'd have to say the Devil Rays....Uh.... I mean Rays won't hold on.

  19. Oh, good! I thought it was deja vu all over again! lol The World Series question annoys me the most especially when it's so early! There's always some arrogant fan answering the question with no shame. Wait until at least the playoffs begin.

And to your answer question, it would have to be the Mets. They're currently leading the division but the Phillies look like they'll make a pull at the right time.

I'd say the D-Backs would lose their lead in the division but since I'm a Dodger fan, my answer wouldn't count since there's too much feelings involved lol

  20. You're forgetting the question... will the yankees go to the playoffs? That one annoys me the most. But to answer your question I don't think the Rays can hold on to the lead in september.

  21. My favorite team is the Twins! I love the Twins! By the way, Greta, who is your favorite?

Minnesota is one game back. They will win the division and go on to win the WS.

As far as the Rays go, I think they were looking for more of a positive identity. They got rid of a couple bad eggs(I'm not a big Delmon Young fan) and I don't think "Devil" was ever really accepted much by the ownership or the fans. One of those things that sounded good at the time and then a few weeks later it was kinda too late to change. I'm glad the lost the devil. I'm almost used to it.

    GO TWINS!!!
