I played with great distinction for my state & country during the 70s & 80s.I was regarded as one of the greatest openers in test history & set several world records.One record I held for some time was finally broken by Sachin Tendulkar.I was especially good against fast bowlers. I held the captaincy of my country on & off for some time. Who am I?
