Question:

Who Are the 3 Most Important Figures in Dallas History?

There is a little controversy brewing in Dallas about changing the name of a street with a virtually unknown history to Cesar Chavez Way or Cesar Chavez Blvd. The controversy being that Chavez's accomplishments within the latino community for the latino community have nothing to do with Dallas therefore should not be considered as a plausible name change. I find this to be complete B.S. Dallas' history, at least in my opinion, only extends to the football team(which has technically been located in Irving for well over 35 years and now in Arlington, 2 cities which are definitely NOT Dallas) and of course the tv show which was based in Southfork actually located in Plano, a separate city from Dallas. At least Chavez is a nationally known hero who did more for his community than a stinking show or football game. Anyways, top rating and Best Answer goes to whoever can tell me 3 major, nationally known figures of Dallas that can be identified for what they have contributed for the better of the city. And Jerry Jones DOESNT count.
