  1. I certainly do have a rudimentary belief in the spirit life. (I say rudimentary, because I am open to discovering an answer either way--true or not.)

For several years, I have conducted my own experiments in the subject of EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomenon).

Basically, EVP is the theory that spirits can and do make contact with the living world through the implementation of recording devices (digital or tape recorders). EVP can be "collected" from anywhere within the living world--homes, cemeteries, schools--anywhere you can think to bring a recorder.

The disembodied voices that come through the recordings are often highly intelligent--answering questions, making reference to specific persons, places, and dates.

My experience has been nothing short of miraculous, really. I've had my name spoken, directions given while driving, and questions answered. To me, these recordings are, quite possibly, more exciting than anything I might see, in person!

As for whether or not I've seen a "ghost"--not sure. I am reluctant to say yes, because I tend to get overly excited. It's human nature to see things that "aren't there."

Hope this helps stimulate further discussion!

  2. I believe 100%. I do not believe in heaven or h**l. I haven't seen full apparitions, but i have had experiences with spirit activity since i was a little girl.

  3. I do, you know why? Cause since yesterday, I seen one. It was like a shadow. Basically, I walking downstairs to get a drink, it was night so obviously it was pretty dark, but not completely, since we put night-lites around our houses. Then when I took my cup out of the refrigerator then closed the door, something was moving. It wasn't human since I heard no footsteps. I didn't move, cause I was so scared and confused. I couldn't breathe neither, cause I was so scared. Then the dark figure moved. Then I shouted at the top of my lungs "BROTHER PLEASE COME DOWN HERE!" As a loser brother, he didn't obviously...so I ran like my life depended on it. I used to think ghosts were bollocks, but now...well...Lets just say I'm going to bed at 9. I'm never staying up late again.

  5. True story.

One recently haunted my home. [New york] It was my fault, i think.

Ghosts are everywhere, they're just looking for someone who wants to see them.

Well, i was burning white candles.

And I'm chinese. Chinese people believe ghosts feed off and are attracted to these white candles.

It attacked my father and left a tangible bruise on his forehead.

My dad has had plenty of experiences with ghosts. From since he wasa teen to now.

My mom've seen more. She travels alot and when she once went to Malaysia, there was a haunted hotel. Of course, only natives would know it's haunted. One night she would see a woman prop a suitcase on her chest. THe lady ghost says she's leaving and begins to pack.

Sometimes there would be a ghost just sitting at the computer desk.

My mom used to play with the ouija board when she was a teen. He brother became possessed and sucided in the same exact room she played it in.

    also in new york.
