  1. Works for both teams.

Houston will be a top team in thew west next year. They get Ron Artest in a contract year, when hes motivated he is a top 10 or 15 talent. If T-Mac cant get out of the first round this year he should be criticized.

The Kings in the long run will be the victor in this deal. They get rid of a cancer in the locker room. Finally give the team to Kevin Martin which I think Geoff Petrie has wanted to do for some time now. You get the Rockets first round pick from this year Dante Green who is being compare to Kevin Durant by ESPN. The Rockets 1st next year, granted will be a late first rounder, but good value in a deep draft. To top it off they bring back one of the biggest fan favorites in recent memory in Bobby Jackson.

In 2 years when Dante Green  matures and Ron Artest is not playing in Houston I believe the Kings are the winners. Rockets will be great this year they are going all or nothing on this deal.

  2. T-Mac and the whole Rockets Crew.

Finally what T-macs been waiting for.

Haters and Steve A. Smith hop off T-Mac's back now.

  3. Houston got the better of the deal only if they sign Artest for a long term deal and get passed the first round in the playoffs.  But in the long run Sacremento benifitted more. Only because they get:

Bobby Jackson whose a decent PG, expiring contract at 6 million.

Donte Green (Houstons First Rd Pick) who has a lot of upside and showed alot of talent during the summer league, (had the second highest scoring aveage behind Bayless.)

And a First round pick for the 08-09 Draft.

There isn't any high expectations for Sacremento to get far for next season, with other teams getting better (Clippers, Warriors, Portland) and the usual teams in playoff contention (Lakers, Spurs, Suns, Jazz, Hornets, Mavs, Rockets) they're obviously building for the future.  Whereas for Houston they're building a team that can win now and contend and get beyond the first round in the playoffs.

  4. Houston.

They gave up less to get Artest than other teams like the Lakers had offered in my opinion. Bobby Jackson was one of their several guards so they get rid of one and plus with Steve Francis back they should make up for him. Plus the Rockets will have a great record which means a bad draft pick for the kings. Donte Greene is good but he hasn't been proven on an nba stage so he's a bit risky.
