Who Can You Best Compare Ricky Rubio To?

I think it's Pete Maravich, he's just as creative as him, if not more so and is unstoppable offensively. He even looks like him.

Defensively he's good as Chris Paul. It's unbelievable, I can't wait until he plays in the NBA.

He can dominate a game even without scoring, by just passing the ball, he's like Magic Johnson.

"Best player in the world, not playing the NBA." He's such an intriguing prospect and it looks as if he was born to play point guard.

He's only 17. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xvnKmfAe-Bg&fmt=18

What do you all think?

  2. you cant compare a ******* kid to all those legends

  3. that dude is nice but i think Brandon Jennings is better

  4. he reminds me of a bigger steve nash

  5. You lost me when you said he can pass just as good as Magic!

  6. What up Steve N,

I've seen some youtube clips of Ricky- and people always look good in clips.  Sorry but to compare him to Magic and Pistol Pete i think is a little far-fetched- you would be suggesting that he will end up to be the greatest point guard to ever play the game.  Don't get me wrong he's got amazing skills for a 17 year old- but let him come into the league and do something first- before we start anointing him as an already guaranteed first ballot hall-of-famers especially when you compare him to Magic and Pistol Pete.

    Nickster

  7. Still remember Raul Lopez, the Spaniard drafted by Jazz just before Tony Parker was picked by Spurs?

He was widely considered as the European version of John Stockton given his superior passing skill, court vision and quickness, but a torn ACL during his early days in Jazz somehow affected his game, and he eventually returned to Spain.

It is still early to say he would be a great NBA player, but the good news is we'll have a chance to see his action during Beijing Olympics.

I would say this is the best comparison to Ricky Rubio, even more closer than Steve Nash.

  8. Bring him to Portland so he can play with Rudy.
