Who Deserves To Fight Mayweather Next?

Question

We all know Oscar will fight Mayweather in a rematch but who is more deserving in fighting Mayweather?

Cotto, Quintana, Mosley, Margarito, etc...

Definitely Cotto.  Not that MC would have a chance, but he's the most worthy challenger.

Miguel Cotto gets my vote. If you take Mayweather away from the division, the number one guy would have to be Cotto. He defeated Mosley, Quintana and Judah (who already lost to Mayweather).

Quintana's stock is slowly rising after beating Williams, but he would need to prove that he can be another top rank contender in the division. His lost to Cotto is the reason I would like to see him against another top fighter, first.

Margarito at one point was deserving, but his lost to Williams was a small setback.

Right now I would easily say Miguel Cotto since he is the only other unbeaten champion.

I doubt Floyd would fight him though.

I also would love to see Floyd fight someone like Kermit Cintron but that all depends on how Cintron does in his rematch against Margarito.

I believe the winner of judah-mosely and cintron-margerito should face each other and face cotto this winter. the winner should be considered the welterweight champ since mayweather is no longer defending that crown. I would loved to say that cotto has fought both mosley and judah and deserves his shot at the crown.  but with floyd not fighting anyone really dangerous cotto would have to wait probably middle of 2009 for a shot.MAYBE 2009.

Shane Mosely not that cotto doesnt deserve a shot just that mosely deserves it more. Now Cotto maybe ranked higher currently than mosely but thats not the point. Mosely isnt getting any younger and wont be around nowhere near as long as cotto is gonna continue to be around. Yes and I know cotto beat mosely so people will argue well he beat mosely no im sorry as others would say he beat an old slowing mosely barely on a split decision that a lot of people say mosely should have got the decision. Far as age goes its nothing but a number in the case of fighters like mosely/oscar and b-hop these guys were all at 1 time p4p #1s at stages in their carears and unlike other fighters like say morales/tyson/holyfield even say gatti who  are all well known and older now those guys are now shot fighters too many wars in the ring , too much blows too the head and maybe not taking care of themselves as they should outside the ring. Mosely/de la hoya and b hop whos even older but in just as good if not better shape know how to take care of themselves all extremly well preserved  very disciplined fighters. While their skills and reflexes may have declined a little not by much at all they are all pretty much still at the top of their games. So basicly mosely has accomplished more in his carear far more than cotto and thats why he is more deserving of a shot , cotto still has more homework assignments to do first. Mosely has already been tested, fought everyone and proved himself .... cotto is still maturing.

since cotto is the number one contender in the welterweight division, he deserves to fight floyd for the top spot. trust me any of the top 5 welters could beat Baldomir . floyd should have earned his way up but took the easy fight to be champ witch aint fair for the rest.
