Who Did Elite s***w more??? James Thompson or Steve Smith??

Horrible endings in my opinion. I understand that it's the first time on NON-CABLE TV. The Doctors stopped The fight after Smith said "Yeah I just got poked in the eye and I can't see." They didn't give him enough time to get back his vision somewhat. It seemed like they gave him 20 seconds and stopped it. Kimbo got sooooo lucky. Yes he earned it by reaching deep down and scoring those big shots at the end, and yes Thompson could've been knocked out on his Feet. Still, He was standing on his own and he didn't fall, so LET it GO til he collapses from exhaustion or something. He was winning the fight and lost because he was hurt a little. The Fighters were incredible warriors. Smith, Lawler, Kimbo, Thompson made the show and did their job. The Ref and Doctor's, considering The meaning of the fights on Network TV and mainstream tried to keep it Safe, SCREWed the last fighters!

as far as the thompson finish goes i'm pretty sure more shots to a busted cauliflower ear could prove too serious and potentially fatal but they really should've given scott smith his 5 minutes before calling it.

I caught the fight on the Internet.  It was a good bout between Thompson and Kimbo.  The end came just slightly early, but the ref's decision had to be based off the fact that Kimbo scored 4 big blows to Thompson's head without Thompson covering up or really having his guard up at all.  So even though the fight was called early between those two, it was really the beginning of the end for Thompson in my opinion.

if they were fighting in the defunct Pride organization those two would have suffered serious injuries. the doctors  and referees did the right thing, have some humanity. these guys have lives outside of the ring.
