13th century, fought at first other Mongols, then China, empire of Kwazim (centered on Persia - they were stupid enough to execute his emissaries), most of what's now Kazakstan and Asian Russia.  

Areas beyond that fell to his other generals or ancestors. eg., Descendants conquered European Russia, went into Europe as far as Poland, also for a time in India; Ghengis Khan (mongol ruler of China) attempted to conquer Japan.

My best guess is he fought against Chaka the Zulu. Probably in a big naval battle on the coast of Greenland. Also active were squadrons of Penguin dive bombers and Emu commandos

His first fights were against other Mongols.  He then invaded China.  After that, he crossed Asia to Europe fighting anyone on the way who did not surrender.
